A remake would be quite dull (and by dull I mean amazing -- but compared to what they could do....). Maybe they can't risk the resources now that the 120 million user base is gone.HoldThePhone

A small install base didn't stop them from making and releasing ICO. My guess is a re-release with information regarding the new game.

And I would die a little inside. It isn't a sequel to either ICO nor Shadow... Fumito doesn't do sequels, he has said so himself.

I did a little translation of the text on the yellow paper and it mentions "something about a girl in captivity in the computer game" and is by Kodansha Publishers. Kodansha being a big Japanese manga publisher. So, it could be a ICO re-release with a manga to go along with it. I'm psyched.

A hermit is a person who lives alone in an isolated Location as I understand the definition :P,even if its not an animal I still dont call anyone hermit either, writing "PC gamer" isnt hard. its subjective, Personally I dont like calling others with animal names, even if its quite the rule on System wars, I'd much appreciate if Nobody addressed me like that.

That sucks. But I know this game is going to be amazing, sequel or not so I'm not too upset.

Team ICO is an internal first-party Sony Computer Entertainment Japan development team. There is no way the game will be on anything besides a Sony product.

I just wish it wont be an announcement that ICO or SOTC will be available as a PSN download... as much as i love those 2 games i just want some info / vid or pics of their current working title.... also some sort of confirmation that the new game will be available sometime in 2009 would be great news..

How do you know they don't do sequels? TOOLFRENZY

Fumito Ueda has explicitly expressed his non-interest in making sequels. He likes making "new" games with new ideas. ICO and Shadow are in the same "universe" but are not closely related enough to be considered sequel/prequel.

OMG I simply can't wait. Ico and SotC are 2 of my favourite games ever, and I can't wait to see what these guys can pull off with the PS3 hardware. Release next year? *crosses fingers* SotC came out in 2005 so it's certainly possible.
