Technically Crytek is going back to being PC exclusive

Crysis 3 seems to make up for some of the mistakes Crysis 2 has and is bit more in root with Crysis 1. Crytek claims they're going F2P and PC is the only platform they can really do what they intend on. Then again they've been going down hill ever since Crysis 2. Wonder what type of F2P games they're going to come up with after Crysis 3.

nope. crysis 3 is what crysis 2 was advertized to be, still not an amazing game of a pc game. Crytek is made by a bunch of morons, they made more money wtih crsis on pc than crysis 2 on all systems. They downgrade an engine to make it run on consoles, they made one game, flopped and now they call the consoles "tiring" after making one game and now go 2fp. This is basically what Crysis2 was on consoles....it was universally disliked compared to Crysis1 and made Crytek turn to F2P.

CE3 isn't a dumbed down engine on paper it is superior to CryEngine 2. Crysis 2 was downgraded to run on consoles. Crysis 3 has a lot more vegetation than 2 and is a bit more open.

Bet your ass those free to play games (depending on when they start developing) are going to get ported or released on next-gen consoles. MS and Sony have seen how well microtransaction system works on pc (league of legends, team fortress 2 and many chinese/korean games), they will make their next-gen consoles more suitable for it.
