YEah Tenchu was really good in teh past. What happend? Did it do a Sonic the Hedgehog?

I liked it but it was too much like a PS2 game. While it wasn't terrible I won't spend $60 on it. I might just rent it b/c i think it's really cool hopping on rooftops or turning invisible and killing people.turgore

It's just some dumb fun that's it. The only cool new addition is the co-op.

And btw I heard you can build up your character so later in the game you can fight just like in the previous Tenchus but this time more focus is put on stealth.

Wow....it's unanimous it seems. A pretty good indicator of how bad it must really be, lol. As you all know, normally with most games you get conflicting reviews and ultimately of course have to see for yourself if you like the game or not. The verdict seems pretty clear on this one though, therefore, I will stay far, far away. When everyone seems to agree that a game sucks with no arguement....it usually means it is pretty bad.ironcreed

The people here are noobs . Find a way to play the demo maybe at a friends ... and decide for yourself, don't let the others decide for you. It's not great but no Tenchu game was but there are probably better games out there ...but not with Ninjas.

Oh believe me, I do not let people make my choices for me, lol. I just wanted to get a general feel for what people thought of the game, and the consensus seems to mainly be negative. I was not very optimistic for this title to begin with, but was hoping that it might turn out to be a decent game because I liked the first one years ago back on Playstation.

Regardless if it appealed to me or not though, it would probably only end up being a rental anyway. I only buy the games that I KNOW I that I will love, but I use opinions/reviews only in order to get a general feel for how good a game is. Not as a deciding factor in my purchases, lol.

Played the Demo and it was Lame.

in the beginning you have to choose a character and it just downhill from there.

It's time for Tenchu to DIE DIE DIE! Tenchu =/= real ultimate power. MGS does stealth better and Ninja Gaiden does swordplay better. Tenchu fails at both.

I wish someone would make a really good stealthy ninja game, but I think it's going to be a while. Maybe if the Ninja franchise I'm making makes a splash in the ertainment industry, I can do something about it. ;)

Unfortunately the sound was horrible and was unplayable.

It was absolutely horrendous...the graphics, the ai, the play mechanics, everything was vomit inducing.

Every person that worked on this game should be disowned from life and forced to live out their days on an island with only them and Jack Thompson....*evil laugh*:twisted:

Im sorry but it wasnt even worth the time it took to DL. It was a horrible PS2 game wrapped high-res package.

Even if this game was on the PS2 it would get a 5 on gamespot from lack of quality.

The original Tenchu makers went on to make Shinobido after the rights to Tenchu were bought out. Go check out that game for PS2 or PSP if you want the "original" or "real" Tenchu. But yeah - Tenchu Z is pretty weak!Paul_Phoenicks

Yep Shinobido was very decent, tho some of its missions were a bit tedious. Anyway, just forget about the graphics and what you expected from it in a next gen console, is it or is it not good for a tenchu game? Would you call it the best in the series? The worst?...

Its horrible the gameplay not even up to par with the first Tenchu and the graphics are first-gen PS2 graphics in HD. They are stupid for even putting a demo out for it should of just released it and hope some suckers bought it before they knew how bad it was.
