TGS 09 - Tokyo Game Show Discussion

So TGS 09 is less then a month away, and after sony pulled off the win for E3 09, what are we to expect from the 3 console makers this time around. Here are my guesses:

SONY: A number of new unnannounced games on top of all of the games they have already announced, as usual.

NINTENDO: hoping for a few nice surprises and some info on galaxy 2, other then that i dont see them doing much, but i hope im wrong.

microsoft: well, after the dissapointing amount of exclusive games they have announced, half of which are either download games or expansions, i am expecting big things from microsoft, then again we all expected big from E3 but well, we all saw what happened in terms of quality exclusives.

Alan Wake PC is on hold no news has been announced for it, and ODST is more then just an expansion. Of course, according to fanboys they can never get past the first announcement it seems.

The Last Guardian gameplay with a release date of mid 2010.

GT5 confirmed for 2009 Release.

Alan Wake PC is on hold no news has been announced for it, and ODST is more then just an expansion. Of course, according to fanboys they can never get past the first announcement it seems.

I would be happy with just a solid release date for GT5 and a full rundown of the features

Actually no one announced 20-30 exclusives. What the hell are you talking about? I am only including retail disc games while you would have to be including PSN titles and working titles that have no information.

This gen seems to be the rising of WRPGs, I don't think JRPGs will be big anytime soon in the west.

Depends on who you talk to really, content wise Sony won but their presentation was horrible. Microsoft on the other hand, while not having a large amount of games put on an excellent presetation and was the most entertaining.

With IGN it was a bit of a tie (if i'm not mistaken they slightly favored microsoft)

but other than those two every website, magazine and poll I ever saw gave microsoft the advantage, there was even a thread about it on vgchartz, i'm just going to quote one of the posts:

I'm dissapointed FFXIII vs. is not showing up. I think that game will get cancelled eventually. Other than that I'm more excited for JRPGS hoping a Persona 5 announcement :)RedruM_I

I'm all for Persona 5 being on any of the three consoles... nothings worse then seeing the Persona games come out on PS2 and knowing that they are great games that I can't play because my PS2 died :cry:

ODST is a standalone game.
