Because I've played through the campaign countless times and almost never had a problem.

Sure the story is lame, but who buys Gears and expects a superb story.

The fact is that the game is refreshing and fun and addicting. Those are some of the main reasons I play games.

¬ My friend dissappeared three times in co-op.

¬ The beserker got stuck in one of the smashable pillars...twice. Both times I had to restart the game because I coulden't get that piece of crap out.

¬ My friend said my lancer was making pistol shooting noises in co-op.

¬ Sometimes when I would enter aim mode, a arc redicle would span out from my gun, liek I was about to throw a granade...

¬ I fell right through the floor, and into a white abyss in Act one.

¬ The music sometimes won't stop playing, the loop will just continue and continue...

Also, I WAS especting an amazing story line. Why? Because Epic promiced me a heart wrenching tale of one mans redemption. Yeah, never got that. :|

Totaly agree with your last point though..

The funny thing about host boost is that I get more bullet lag when I'm in a match with americans then i do if Im in a match with a british guys (and I live on the west coast)

It's obvious but doesn't make the host superhuman and impossible to kill.

If you're already good at the game, you are pretty much unstoppable if you're on host. You're no easier or harder to kill, but it is so much easier for you to kill everyone else. Like i said, if i host a match, i win. Always.

No. Not just like Halo. You're the first person i've ever met to say Halo has host advantage like Gears. It just doesn't. Why is Gears so notorious for it, yet nobody ever makes threads whining about Halo's host advantage, or ever did? Sure, it has one, as do most p2p games. But it's nowhere near as bad as Gears of War. Nowhere near. I dont win automatically if i host on Halo; i do on Gears. Every time.

Halo also doesn't have bullet lag. Host doesn't have to worry about that on Gears; everyone else does.

If I'm host on Halo I always win because my BR and melee is godly and can now be used instantly and across map.

Gears was awesome, but i have to agree with this thread.

Gears is awesome. Sure the multiplayer is glitchy sometimes, but it is definetly not a "trainwreck".

Gears is an incredibly polished and well done game. It definately makes top ten for me.

I can't understand the hate considering across the board reviews praising it.

i some-what agree. Regardless, i play Gears online everday (Bushido JIN), and i enjoy that game even to this day.

Btw who ever said host advantage was a bad thing? :P
