That's exactly what I'm going to do, hold myself out until Halo 3. Warhawk and Halo 2 will do that just fine.

Bullet lag in the game is ridiculous.

I was playing with some nublers yesterday and they were saying that there isn't any lag or host advantage because their team was winning - I joined but didn't get to play the first round, the changed soon after though. I beat them, mainly with the sniper and they say that it's because of lag. :lol:

I can't believe the online play is so shallow too, it basically consists of killing the other team before they kill you. Every damn time, maps aren't particular interesting, everyone swaps to shotgun at the beginning of the round. No customization, no original game modes... No nothing.

9.6 my ass. In NO game should you have to shoot so far ahead of whoever you're trying to kill in order to compensate for lag. In every damn game.

Yeah, the game used to be so fun when it first came out. Then everything went down hill from there.

Ive played Gears online and i can say the same thing, people wer glitching every wer so i couldnt hit them, i was fine but every1 else was lagging insane.

Good thing Resistane has no lag at all, well none for me anyway. its always a blast with 20vs20

I wasn't feeling very happy earlier for reasons I won'tgo into so I put Gears of War in my 360. I join a 17 round game. From the first round both teams are glitching like crazy. They're going out of the map on my team, and on the other team doing the crab walking glitch... the bullet lag was atrocious. Worse than usual. And lucky me, I just seemed to run into the host shotgun everytime. The friggin' idiots on my team are friggin staying out of the map so long we had to wait for a draw every friggin' round.

Add all that plus there were like to annoying kids on my team with high pitched voices. "If they're glitching we're glitching!" Well, you blanking idiot, you started glitching first so why do you think they're glitching? Behold, the appitimy of Gears of War online; terrible bullet lag, horrible host advantage, extremely easy access glitching, plus those occasional blanking annoying little kids. Seriously, a blanking retarded monkey could do these glitches they're so easy. EPIC, you've failed to construct a solid online experience and as an avid online gamer with actual standards, I refuse to support your game any longer until you fix this crap. Even if I have to wait for Gears of War 2 for you to understand that blanking dedicated servers are needed.

So that's it, I'm done with Gears of War. Done. What do you care if I'm not playing Gears anymore? You don't. What you should care about is the future of online games. If it takes years for developers to understand this crap is unacceptable, then we're in for trouble. Let's just take a moment to thank the Warhawk devs for establishing huge amounts of dedicated servers, waking up the world of online console gaming. PC gaming never looked better right about now too. From what I hear many of their games have had dedicated servers for years now...

LMAO sounds just like my expearience with that game lol these 2 british kids liek 9 years old were screaching into the mic. an would not be quiet, also sum1 on my team gliched ontop of a crate and got stuck, and the enemy oculd not ifnd him so we sat waiting and waiting, also the shotgun is soo abused, and the lag is so bad, and the internet connection was high speed, gears online sucks sooo bad, not to mention the short SP that game is only shiney, and thats it, even the shine gets annoying, also online when the textures take about 30 seconds to loadon everything, dam this game is sooo over rated

Thats why I always play when at least one of my friends is on and willing to play it. So one of us can host and kick any glitchers or little annoying kids. But if you host a game with none of your friends coming, it takes soooooooo long for someone to joinSnowboarder99

The game needs matchmaking.

Even if it's only for ranked I mean, sometimes I'll spend ages looking for a game or something. It's frustrating. I can't wait for Halo 3 to release, playing the beta then going back to Gears. It was just so horrible in comparison.

I loved the game, but the online was just the same old same old. I got seriously, then quit. Now I play R6: Vegas, truly a great game with a lot more value and options in multiplayer. white_sox

It made my blood boil. So i started playing Rainbow Six (which i'd beat on single player and had sitting on the shelf untouched for months) and it's probably one of the best multiplayer games i've ever played. It's a pity the PS3 version is so laggy and glitchy, because more people need to know how awesome it is.

On the 360 at least, it's amazing. I wish people would stop playing crap like Gears and get into a REAL game like R6.

You let little kids get under your skin in multiplayer games? Leave the match, dont use your headset and listen to music.

Vegas was a diamond in the rough for me, never really liked the R6 games, but now I'm already a colonel. I think they headed the series in the right direction.
