The 360 continues to evolve graphically while the ps3 has hit a ceiling

If you had a PS3 and Uncharted you would probably enjoy it and love it. But since you don't I can understand your logic. My 360 doesn't work anymore but I still think it has good games, I don't know why but for some reason I enjoy a good game despite what system it's on. But hey that's just me and I'm crazy for thinking there are good games on every platform that I can enjoy, even if my 360 doesn't work anymore.:wink:

When it comes to 360 and PS3 I don't understand why anyone would think to themselves "there's no way teh graphix will get any better." I can only understand that thinking with Wii, because it is stuck in last generation graphics.

But other than Wii, people seem to forget that during a console lifecycle, the graphical quality continually gets better. Just when it is thought that there is a "peak" level, something else comes out that has even better graphics. This has always been the pattern, way back to Atari 2600 to now.

I'm sure lot people didn't think games like Rage and Skyrim would ever look this good on a console.

if you care about grahics get a gaming pc.
also when ps3 was releasin great looking games xbox had still gears 2....

Just curious but which game are you speaking of that showed that the 360 peaked "a couple of years ago"?

...and whatever game you're talking about are you saying that there is no current game or upcoming games that look better than the one you are speaking of that came out "a couple of years ago"?

i dont see the big upgrades from uncharted 2 tho so saying ps3 just keeps getting better ehh

The ps3 and 360 are completely even tech wise.

Sure, the 360 won't have anything to match UC2/Gow 3 until Gears 3 comes out, but when it does come out there will be no game that's more technically advanced on either system.

RAGE will be the most technically advaced game on both consoles, and that's a multiplat.

Xbox 360's symmetrical PPE X3 architecture IS more versatile i.e. unlike SPEs, you don't have watch for unsupported VMX formats, instructions and elaborate program restructure with multi-core PPE. PS;SPE's ISA is based on VMX ISA.

IBM's latest PowerPC A2 follows Xbox 360's multi-core PPE idea i.e. scales from 4 to 16 cores.

Epic was updating UE3 engine and they have do it for atleast 3 HD platforms i.e. PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

Well, with Crysis 2, and now Gears 3, it really is showing that it has room to grow left. Uncharted 2 seems to have topped the PS3 out seeing as Uncharted 3 doesn't look vastly different. Could U3 be the next Gears 2?
