The 360 has no variety at all.

Platformers- Super Meat Boy, Fez, Bajo Kazooie, Rayman Origins, Splosion Man, Mrs S'plosion Man, Sonic 4, Trials,,,,yes Trials

Action- Shadow Complex, Bayonetta, Crackdown, Red Dead Redemption, Batman Arkum Series, Deus Ex, Splinter Cell Conviction, Alan Wake

Racing- Hydro Thunder, Sega Rally, Ridge Racer, Dirt Series, EA Racers, Project Gotham 3 and 4 (Everyone forgets this one), and the Forza series. Not to mention Burnout, Split/Second, and Blur.

RPG- Mass Effect, Skyrim, Lost Oddyssey, Fable, Fallout, not to mention all of those JRPG's that don't sale on any playform.

Shhoters- Battlefield, Call of Duty, Gears, Halo,Metro 2033, Left 4 Dead, Borderlands, Rage......This list could go on for a while

Puzzle games- XBLA is full of them as well as those little fortress games I hate. Portal 2?

Clasics and remakes- Tons of them on XBLA- Microsoft does not feel the need to re=release them to minimal sales after spending a year and a half of wasted money converting them to 720p.

Fighting games- Dead or Alive 4, Capcom fighters, Mortal Kombat, not to mention a ton on XBL.

I swear Shadowmoses gets dumber every day. Now do they have the first party variety? Not as many games of course but it is a business choice and one that obviously worked.

Plus they have Kinect- The one thing that is hated by all but put the nail in the PS3 coffin.....ha ha ha.....

When you talk about the great games that set each system apart, the top 2 games mentioned are Gears and Halo, after that it's Forza, then people just fish around to fill in what ever is there because there really aren't any other high quality games to nominate.

let me put it like this, you make the argument that 360 has the best overall library based on having the most high scoring library do you not? Luckily I am white enough to own all 3 consoles. However......

I am wondering if the 360's same exclusives get mentioned by Lems because the games are just really high quality products that appeal to everyone with the 360? Obviously Halo built the original XBOX and the 360 gamer probably bought the 360 just for that series. Obviously they have kept the quality high (Regardless of what anyone who hates Halo says) and that is why it is always the first or second game listed.

Gears in basicall this gen's Halo for the XBOX gamer. Obviously it did not reach Halo's level but it was still (At the time) fresh and grgeous, and everyone with a 360 wanted it.

Fable and Forxa are the other main ones and there is a reason for it. The first 2 Fables were great and Forza has really became the top console racer on the market. I have that and had GT5 and it is not even close. The premium cars in GT5 look a bit better but everything else from the gameplay, structure, online, enviroments- Forza beats it hands down.

I listed PGR and Kameo because I loved the series. I did not have Gears listed in my top 7 because I like....Variety.

Now- On the PS3. I have 21 games right now plus PS + and I will provide a pic if needed. I mainly play multiplats on it and a few days ago I was fussing because I could not find a full game or game at all in MAG, Starhawk, Twisted Metal, or Killzone 2.

The PS3 has more exclusives and more variety but the games have smaller communities for the most part. I think you are saying a PS3 list would have more variety from person to person but I think it is because the PS3 does not have those must have games for the masses. I like Sly Cooper. Most people like Ratchet and Clank. I prefer Heavenly Sword over God of War and Resistance over Killzone. But the problem is none of the 12 PS3 exclusives I own with the exception of Uncharted 2 are better than the 360's top 5.

Eveyone is different I guess. But for someone like me who only likes certain game types the 360 has the games I am looking for. I do not care about Mod Nation Racers, God of War, Ico, Genji, Little Big Planet......So to me, The PS3 does not have the better games in the genres I like.

First of all, Alan Wake isn't exclusive. Secondly, Kameo is a solid game, but that was a 360 launch title, and it is painfully obvious that it is a 6 year old game. I own it and have played it, it is good but top 5? Lol.....
