The standalone 360 is cheap, but dont forget that Online is expensive(expensive is in the eye of the beholder, just because YOU think it is expensive doesn't mean everybody does), does not come with built in Wi-fi(you can get it if you want it, and don't have to pay for it if you don't...choice is somehow a bad thing?), controller chargers have to be bought seperately Yet when the battery dies the controller is still fine...what happens when the DS3 battery dies? Oh that's right you have to buy a new controller. And last, but not least the dreaded RROD.
Last generation I had an Xbox and enjoyed Halo 1 and 2, Ninja Gaiden Black, Fable 1 and other great exclusives the system had. But this generation I do not feel the Xbox 360 has anything to offer me. Sequals to all those great exclusives is "nothing to offer you?)Why? Well firstly Halo 3 should be called Halo 2.5, it doesnt look current-gen graphically (lighting and draw distances are good, but thats about it so, having graphicsw that couldn't be done on a last gen system somehow makes H3 last gen? Do you realize how stupid of an argument that is?), but the worst thing about it is the Online MPYou must have problems separating YOUR opinion from POPULAR opinion, as H3 is the most played console game online. It obviously isn't the "worst thing", 16 players maximum(so more players equals better? don't think so.) and you dont even have the ability to choose what map you want to play even though millions play it online!Host your own game some time. That truly is last gen, Xbox 360 users do not realise that the exclusives are mostly last generation in terms of features!Yet they all support certain features, while many PS3 titles do not. Hit or miss features is more "last gen" IMO than anything.
Ninja Gaiden Black was, IMO, the best game ever made. However they, Microsoft game studios and Team ninja succesfully managed to kill of the series. Ninja Gaiden 2 lost its fictional world which so succeeded at sucking people in, i.e Vigoor. Instead they set it in cities such as New York, used the same engine as they did last generation and made it totally lame and cheap. Aren't opinions great?
As for Fable 2, the developers did not learn their mistakes from last generation. Fable 2 is still as easy as Fable 1, it is still as short, the graphics are not up to the standards of this generation and there is still the same corridoor gameplay and lack of online MP, instead they gave us a LAME co-op mode in which players cant even bring in their character but have to make one from scratch. Aren't opinions great? Also, didn't you just call Fable 1 a "great exclusive" just a paragraph ago? Now it is too easy, too short, and has crappy gameplay? Also, MP of any kind in a non MMO is a first. The henchman thing was a choice to not break the "fable". WOuldn't it be kind of dumb to have TWO heroes in the game? It's a single player experience with MP being an addon bonus...if the focus was supposed to be on MP then your arguments would have more merit IMO.
Gears of war is lame, Critics and the gaming public at large completely disagree with you. Remember what I said about separating YOUR opinion from PUBLIC opinion? the Single player was short, the controls were clunky and slow and 8 player Online MP is so lame its not even funny. Yet it has more critical and commercial acclaim than almost every single PS3 title. I have played it online and it really is lame. Critics and gamers disagree. Even Resistance 1 had a better MPcritics and gamers disagree. Gears of war 2 looks to improve upon the original with a longer SP, which is good. But the online is now 10 PLAYERS! Wow, Epic really nailed it MP wise huh? So once again, more players equals better multiplayer? IMO it's finding the proper balance between map size and layout to the number of players. For me, the only thing the 360 has going for it is the Multi-plats, which can also be found on the PS3 except for those 360/PC multiplats, which coincedentally outnumber PS3 exclusives in AAA, AA, and A titles., sure, some ports are horrible on the PS3 but for the most parts its old games. The new Multi-plats are better on the PS3 umm, does Fallout 3 ring a bell? Also, now that the PS3 has the advantage that cows said caused the games to run better(the PS3 version being a "port"), it only now makes the games equal(name us the PS3 games that actually look better and not merely equal...it will be a very short list). and will only become better and better and cows wonder why people always use the "just wait" line on them. . Far cry 2 on the PS3 runs at a higher native resolution than the 360 counterpart(do you really want a list compiled of which system has the higher resolution version? It would make your argument look pretty dumb., Dead space looks slightly better on the PS3 and runs slightly better two (shorter load times)Hmm, I just read a few reviews and didn't see mention of this...care to supply a link?.
Now to be fair, the 360 does have ONE exclusive game which I found incredible, Mass effect that is. Oh yeah its on the PC now, and I played it on my PC btw which has better graphics than the 360 version and runs better too. And this helps the PS3 how?

Thanks for saying the PS3 can't stand on its own two feet.. 360 is only good if you dont have a decent PC(and don't like the 360 exclusives which ALSO outnumber the PS3 exclusives. (I have a HD 4870 GPU) which was a gift from my dad. I only got it around 2 months ago but now I am loving PC gaming.
PS3 with Resistance 2,(rated lower than most of the games you bagged just above) Motorstorm Pacific Rift (Best racer ever IMO)(Yet it only 79% on gamerankings and an 8.0 here...doesn't seem like too many people agree with your ascertation that it is the greatest racer ever., MGS4(also lower average ratings than 2 of the games you blasted above), Killzone 2(crystal ball working overtime eh? Awful high hope for a sequal to a 6.9 game don't you think?), White Knight chronicles, Naruto: Ultimate Ninja storm (for those who are into the anime), GT5, God of War 3, Massive action game, Infamous, Valkyria chronicles, LittleBigPlanet and Heavy Rain will be better than ANYTHING the 360 can offerIn YOUR opinion, which as has been noted is vastly different from the gaming market at large. . Note that some of these games are not out yet but will be soon. Don't count your chickens before they hatch. Ps3 is THE console to own this generation(if you are completely opposite from mainstream, according to the rest of your post). Lets not forget that PS3 users can watch Blu-Ray movies. So can 360 users if they use the 200 bucks they save from not buying the PS3 instead of the 360, and buy a stand alone player. The 360 is already left in the dust(Unless you're talking about library size, library quality, and sales...umm where exact is the PS3 leaving the 360 in the dust again? . Especially if one has a good gaming PC.Which is probably 5% of PC's.
