The 360 is the new POS2!

Yeah I think it is. Lots of hardware problem like what the PS2 had a few years ago. Lots of Xbox gamers use to call the PS2 the POS2 since it would break often. Now fast forward today and you see that the 360 is having problems but it does have the best games ofany current system out now. The 360 can recover from this and go on to sell over 100 million consoles like the PS2 did because the 360 is going to have the best games. :D

Oh I forgot to say that the 360 is going to get fixed by late this year or next year for sure. Like the PS2 that got fixed after a few years of problems MS is fixing the problems with the 360 too.:D

I've had three systems crap out on me over the years. SNES, Playstation 2, and XBOX360. This means 360 is winnar this gen!

A lot of people had problems with the PS2 that they had to file a lawsuit against Sony. You must been lucky. My 360 still is running fine.

Also, price doesn't make as big a difference with the Xbox 360 because it's aimed at the hardcore. As long as its a reasonable price for us, and has a decent amount of games, we'll buy it, But the Wii and PS3 depend on thier pricetag ALOT more than Xbox 360 does...

A $350 console can never become that heavily mainstream. I believe the figure was at roughly 80% of PS2 owners bought one once the price dropped below $200.

I've had a few errors (freezing, disc errors, etc.) but I never had to send in my PS2

i think for western gamers the 360 is quite an attractive piece of kit, and right now for these guys this gen seems pretty much over.

You've gotta look at things more realistically a gen doesn't end in 2 years, especially with only 11.5 mill sales. in terms of line-ups 360 has 07 on lock but looking over at the sony exclusives coming out in 08 it reminds me of the diversity and quality of the ps2's library.

ps3 will have: FF13, mgs4, Killzone FFXIIIVersus (different style of rpg altogether), Heavy rain, little big planet, Team ICoprojects, grand turismo 5

in terms of diversity and potential the ps3 is the successor to the ps2.. in the jrpg department the 360 lacksa title with the gravitas of final fantasy. and a game with the kind of depth that' inspires theinsane loyaltyas metal gear solid.

First off, how are we sure they are fixing the problems? They won't say, for sure, what the cause of the problem is. Just that they are swapping some components that they think will reduce the issue. Doesn't sound solved to me. And what about other issues like the disc scratching?

Funny, lemmings last gen claimed that Xbox was the better console, although it sold less. (I agree). And now they're saying its going to be the best because it sells best. Just use whatever fits at the time, huh?
