[QUOTE="PS3_3DO"][QUOTE="Ps3Solider"][QUOTE="Trading_Zoner"][QUOTE="thirstychainsaw"] [QUOTE="Trading_Zoner"]Except it's selling about as bad as the original Xbox...Ps3Solider
At around $400 its expected...
True. Halo 3 is probably going to sell alot of Xbox 360s too.
Although it's still not the new PS2 at all, and after this year it will have used almost all of it's assets from last gen to help boost sales.
Also, price doesn't make as big a difference with the Xbox 360 because it's aimed at the hardcore. As long as its a reasonable price for us, and has a decent amount of games, we'll buy it, But the Wii and PS3 depend on thier pricetag ALOT more than Xbox 360 does...
But yeah, I see what you are saying. The fact that Xbox 360 is pretty much matching Xboxes pace, at it's current price WITHOUT halo 3 speaks volumes for the Xbox 360 brand.
Trueee. Halo 3 will sell lots of consoles.. but thats in the short-term.. what about games after Halo 3?? all i can think of is Mass Effect. but that wont sell systems it will sell to the install base and a few sci-fi geeks..
the ps3 on the otherhand has more then one established franshise to bring in the last-gen gamers..
Gran Tursimo (Europe and Japan boost)
Metal Gear (WorldWide boost)
Sing Star (Europe and Australia boost)
Buzz! (Europe and Australia boost)
FF13 (WorlWide boost)
Socom (NA boost)
God of War 3 (NA and Europe boost)
Ratchet (NA boost)
Not to mention new franchises like White Knight, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Warhawk, and LittleBigPlanet
That's a good list of games but the 360 is going to have a few good one's too like.
Fable 2
Halo Wars
Alan Wake
Too Human
Splinter Cell
Marvel Online
Banjo
Gears 2
and a lot more.
not bad. but did you notice most of those games dont even have a release date.. not to mention some haven't even been confirmed (gears 2) to be in development.
I don't think God of War 3 has been announced yet either. ;)
