The 360's are all gone !

Not so much different. Where I am I went to pay off the rest of my Halo 3 preorder and the Gamestop was out of 360's as well. Yep, I went to CC today to pay off the Halo 3 I pre-ordered, and I notice no 360s were at the shelves. I notice some old dude carrying an Elite with him to the counter and I over heard him say that he wanted to pre-order Halo 3 too. I witness myself the system selling power of Halo.

The 360 leads the Wii in sales 7.5 million to 4.5 million roughly.

Actually, world wide numbers is all that has ever mattered here. Picking and choosing regions just so your favorite console has an advantage is childish. The 360 trails the Wii by .68M. It's not that much, and Halo 3 will probably make that up. If it's so unbearable to have the Wii outsell the 360 then you probably shouldn't be posting anywhere.

This console is going to have a massive holiday season. I don't see the PS3 recovering from this unless they make ALL the right steps.

I wonder how this will affect attachment rates, though. So many people buying the console for just one game... will they buy a lot more games or just stick with that one and maybe one or two others?

i'm guessing attach rates will be pretty good. they'll initially buy it for halo 3, but the 360 has good enough of a backlog right now that people will want to get some of the games that came out previously.

I am really dissapointed in the COWs. you guys have to think of something negetive to say. otherwise it's not fun. cmon COWs, get to work.

Same here in NY, in my local Gamestop. All 360's have been swallowed. And already there's a line of about 50 people, for Halo 3.

God I just wish the 65nm chips were sooner installed on every 360 by now. Current 360s are the reason I haven't bought one yet :cry:

its kinda sad that cows or sheep use this as an excuse. o man 360 got pwned being outsold in short period of time. then lemmings say its about software sales. but seriously who cares either way. everyone knew the wii would outsell the 360 at some point within a year with how POPULAR it is. (keyword there being popular). the 360 will have a great hardware month with everyone getting halo 3. and i bet 300,000+ 360's are sold in september.

Same thing at my Best Buy. I bought some stuff on Saturday and had to return something today. On Saturday I noticed a bunch of the Halo systems and some Elites and Premiums. They weren't all gone today but there were no Elites and no Premiums left. A few of the Halo systems still in though.

I just game back from a trip to my lcal Best Buy.

I went there to pick up something else but while there I thought I might just buy a Elite b/c my 360 is being repaired and it may be a few more days before I get it back.

ALL the 360's are gone - I'm not kidding one bit - empty shelves !!

They did have 4 Halo special editions there but I want the 120 gig HD if I'm going to buy another one !

While checking out with some ink carts I was buying there were at least 6 people standing in line with 360's !

This is true and I'm as surprised as any non believer but thats exactly the way it is !

And PC performance card sales crush the Wii. Your point? That is why the official SW rule, as of Casey's last poll, is games(# of exclusives I belive, never saw the final type of game that is scored). Heck as I'm watching CNBC, they are about to have an exclusive on Halo 3 over the hype.
