A PC gamer can make. With a 360 pad I can play all those mutliplates like Batman, F1, Grid, Just Cause, Sleeping Dogs, GTA etc the way they should be played. At 60FPS, 1080p, max settings and with 8+ times AA.

Batman works fine with Keyboard and Mouse. I played AA with a controller and AC with KnM. F1 and Grid = Wheel. NO CONTROLLER! Sleeping Dogs works great mouse and key too. GTA? Works with Mouse and Key. You have a choice though. The 360 controller is not required but it's alright. Microsoft should make the Win 8 Metro work with the 360 controller.ShadowDeathXI know Batman plays fine with a KB/M. I used a KB/M for Sleeping Dogs while I use a controller for GTA. I just like having the choice. And yes, I will be buying a wheel for driving games but I'm broke as I just bought a real car :P
I rarely use a controller on my PC.
Sounds like a lame use of a PC if all you want to do is play console games.
being able to use my wireless 360 controller on pc is amazing. idk how someone can play an open world game or game for long sessions on a keyboard and mouse. with a controller i can sit back in my chair comfortable as f***. :cool:mems_1224Hey have you ever had problems syncing up the controller to your pc? i have this dongle that i plug into my usb but for some reason i can never sync my controller up with my pc :(

I agree. The 360 pad is simply the best all around controller on the PC.
Well, in my opinion at least.

I could never get my DS3 to work on PC. Do you have to have it wireless or can you plug it in with the USB charger?
I use both set ups. Wireless for when I want to play on my TV. Wired with the mini usb charger cable for when I play on my monitor when the battery is low. :P
Any peripheral with analog stick is levels better than keyboard. Inferior WASD is only capable of outputting multiples of 45 degree angles. And they have the nerves to sell $100 "gaming" keyboard. Ahahaha.

I have only tried it with the USB charger and have only gotten it to work properly once, and this was just to get my PC to recognize that I ahve a controller plugged in at all. I tried using the 360 pad emulator so I wouldn't have to use a program like XPadder but can't get it to work. It's not as bad as using analogs for aiming.Any peripheral with analog stick is levels better than keyboard. I use bluetooth but you have to connect it via usb first worked for me, you have to hit the driver tab and hit install. Then I just reinserted it, hit the xbox 360 button, and hit enable. Then hit bluetooth pair. Now it syncs if I disconenct via usb. It also works fine if I have it plugged in w/o bluetooth.[QUOTE="Mr_BillGates"]It's not as bad as using analogs for aiming. honestly i think i would do just as well in an fps game like battlefield 3 or planetside with a controller. i wish the option was at least there.Any peripheral with analog stick is levels better than keyboard. Tfw GRiD doesn't support my Logitech Driving Force GT wheel. GRiD 2 will though I'm sure.
I do think though that owning a 360 Pad if you're a PC gamer is a good thing though. There are a good number of games out there that work great with them. And honestly it's great to be able to kick back every once and a while on the couch or bed or whatever with a controller.
I'm going to have to agree with Jiggly though, I prefer the PS3 controller but I decide what I use based on whatever controller is closer to me most of the time haha

Do just as well? You have to let us know how you do with a mouse and keyboard in those games. Because what you said implies you're not very good with mouse and keyboard.
Also, the option is there. Battlefield 3 works with a 360 controller right out of the box. The button prompts don't show up, but all the buttons work.

thats not really the same type of fps though. thats a fast paced arena shooter so i see how a controller would be at a massive disadvantage. battlefield and PS2 are slower paced and not always about who has the better aim when you're in a firefight with 30 other people around.[QUOTE="JigglyWiggly_"][QUOTE="mems_1224"] honestly i think i would do just as well in an fps game like battlefield 3 or planetside with a controller. i wish the option was at least there.mems_1224

I had broken a finger over the summer so I couldn't use KB/M for a few weeks and tried using a gamepad instead. I was playing Killing Floor a lot at the time and was terrible compared to how I played with with KB/M. I can see for a game like CoD that it wouldn't make as much difference since it doens't really matter where you shoot the person since htey die so fast, but for games that require precise aiming for headshots and stuff, I could never go back to using a gamepad.[QUOTE="BPoole96"][QUOTE="JigglyWiggly_"]ps3 controller with ds3tool is what I use I prefer the ps3 controller because I play a lot of platformersJigglyWiggly_

How many games offer gamepad support on the PC? Other than the entry cost the keyboard/mouse was what really turned me off from it.
Vari3ty
Almost all multiplatform games support gamepads. And if they do not, there is a program called XPadder which lets you substitute your controller for keys on the keyboard. For example, you can set WASD as the left analog and have the mouse movements mimic the right stick. It takes a little tweaking but is definitely manageable and most games use similar keys anyway so you can just save a couple different layouts and load them as necessary.
Yeah, I got the wired 360 controller for both, PC and 360. Wireless is just problematic considering the awful hardware quality.
I prefer the keyboard and mouse for Dishonored, Dead Space, Far Cry 2, Crysis, Deux Ex: HR, etc. Controller for Just Cause 2, GTA IV, etc.
To be honest, if it wasn't for the gamepad support on the PC, I wouldn't have switched to PC gaming mainly because majority of games works better with controller due to them being made for consoles. (they shouldn't)
