It's about the menu buttons on the 3DS, and on my 3DS the menu buttons are above the screen when closed. Why are people insisting that this device is bad or unhealthy or wrong?
It works great so far. The only weird thing that happened is that the text on my pc screen appears to be floating in front of it. Which is actually kind of cool.

Then don't close it lol.TheGuardian03
It would lose 75% of it's portability factor.

Screen protector problem solved.

You shouldn't have to buy 3rd party accessories to stop the machine from damaging itself.

Indeed.. A simple design flaw, who the hell tests these things? o-O

I actually thought my buddies 3DS was scratched when he brought it over the other day(I know, I know. It's my buddies 3DS so I can't pass judgement). But it turned out there was a line of grease or oil or something on the screen from those rubber bits around the bottom screen.

Since this is the case all it would take is you to bump your pocket while the 3DS is in there to have a chance at leaving a scratch on the screen. I would deffinitely get a screen protector and am about to text him right now about the problem, even if it's not widespread.

then just buy one of the 3 redesigns that will be out before next year at this time.

3ds-xl, 3ds micro, 3ds-lite, 3ds pocket, 3ds-lilac4girlz and whatever else they can think of to sell you the same system 3 different times in the same generation.

[QUOTE="bobbetybob"]I had it leave a faint dirt mark once but scratches sounds like rubbish to me, it's pressing against the screen very gently so unless you're smashing the top of your 3DS I don't see how it would scratch, you could leave a knife resting blade down on the surface of your skin and it wouldn't do anything unless you put pressure on it.JLF1

I've seen multiple youtube unboxings where they just smack it all the way down instead of gently closing it.

Just because you can does not mean you should people.

Parts of me die inside when I hear the CLACK sound :/

It's a Nintendo handheld.

You know, the system that has been the choise for young kids all these years. It's not a bomb.

lmao! The more I hear the more I am happy I am waiting. Come on Nintendo, if nothing else, I had faith in your hardware reliability/durability!
