[QUOTE="CubeJL"][QUOTE="Bebi_vegeta"][QUOTE="CubeJL"]I think the crux of the argument is that PC gamers like to tout Crysis when benchmarking PCs vs Consoles. The common logic here of course is that for quite a bit more investment than a console one SHOULD have a better gaming experience. The best gaming value still resides in the console, which is probably why so many millions of people chose to game on consoles rather than PCs.
The reality is that, to have a gaming rig capable of playing Crisis in any respectable state, even if upgrading, the average PC owner would need Direct X10 (Windows Vista), and a graphics card and RAM upgrade. If we`re just talking normal games than I think we have a more solid comparison, but I still think the value proposition still speaks in favor of the console. Chilaxing on the couch in front of the tube, headset on, friends list set, and controller in hand is the way most people like to game. Couple that with the fact that console gaming is closed system, meaning that everyone across all platforms has a unified gaming experience, and you see why people opt the console route.
No hate on PC owners though. If you have the means and want the experience, more power to you.

Really?hmmm... I have my doubts on that. I'm thinking W.O.W. in mind right now...
Vista is not needed to have the best crysis experience.
Nothing new and done on PC just as well.
Of course I am assuming that not many PC gamers enjoy their games from the comfort of their living rooms. Correct me if I am wrong, but I seldom, if ever, see a PC gamer enjoying his hobby anywhere other than in front of a desk (laptops not withstanding).
Also, I respect the power of WOW, )but its subscriber base is right around the 10m mark. Consider that Halo 3, for instance, sold through $170m on opening day (the largest one day gross in entertainment history). With that kind of selling power, right out of the gate, its no wonder why gaming companies like Sony, MS, and Nintendo are focusing on console markets for their bread and butter. Xbox Live membership, alone, is upwards of 12 million subscribers as well.
In fact if you look at the top 10 best selling franchises of all times http://videogames.yahoo.com/feature/the-top-10-best-selling-game-franchises/532199-2 you can see that the lion`s share go to consoles. It`s not even close.
There`s a reason people prefer console gaming, folks.
WoW sold as many Units as Halo 3 did on day one, something like 2.4 million units, 1.7 million of those activated within the first 12 hours.
Really? Where can I find that information?
