where have u been? according to cows graphics are all that matter now in gaming, forget story, gameplay and narrative, if it doesnt look like cell shaded Uncharted 2 its not worth discussing.

I agree with the TC, actually. Every damn day, it's all about graphics, graphics, graphics. Did everyone forget that it's gameplay which matters most, like back in the days?

Graphics is everything. That is why I own a PS3.

Graphics only seem to matter to PS3 fanboys and PC guys looking for something to justify the price of their rig. Graphics were pretty important to me...last gen. This generation has delivered great graphics, but even better gameplay, and even more important to me: Great online play! I own all 3 systems, but dont play hardly anything but my 360 since its got the most fun games to play with friends (IMO). I think Sony failed in that aspect, they focused so heavily on power and graphics while the other consoles passed them on fun and making it easy to play and connect with friends. I think the 360 has a great mix of fun, graphics and community.

Sounds like someone who is justifying their purchase of a 360 and doesn't own a gaming PC.

Gaming PC > 360 by miles and miles(especially since most of the games on 360 are on PC anyway)

Gaming PC > PS3 by not as much, but it's still quite a ways(only reason for this is because it has some unique exclusives like Demon's Souls, Infamous, etc.)

This generation has delivered great graphics, but even better gameplay, and even more important to me: Great online play! I am a PC gamer and my rig is not expensive.

I built it in 2007 but right now it would cost around 500 USD.

It can play just about any game at max settings 1680x1050 res. Crysis and Metro 2033 at max settings for directx 10 at 1440x900.

Graphics are important and can enhance game play and atmosphere to help create better immersion.

If you disagree you should be playing text based games instead.

Graphics is everything. That is why I own a PS3.

Graphics are part of what makes games good. They make the game feel more realistic and more pleasing to play.

If MW2 had crappy graphics it would not be nearly as fun to play.

Okay,so I'm absolutely SICK and TIRED of seeing those pointless,countless and redundant "graphics king" threads on System Wars,so I've made this thread. Why? Because I thought that SW needs a breathe of fresh air away from those boring graphics threads. Please,let this thread be a place where we can just peacefully talk about the ACTUAL games and not some pointless extra pixels on a TV screen.
