The Best 2 Consoles to Have in this Gen

It's a completely innovative console, and sooner or later ( hopefully sooner, it will take time to clear your head of all the nonsense you've got in there ) you will realize that the "power glove" with last gen graphics actually just produced a game that got game of the year for 2007. 2007, one of the biggest years of gaming... think about that for a bit. Super Mario Galaxy beat Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Bioshock, Assassin's creed.... point prooven. Besides, does Super Mario Galaxy even LOOK like a last gen game to you. Do your research next time you decide to fight with an NP subscriber....lol

2007 was a terrible year in gaming. Players are contetnt with mediocrity because of the sheer lack of games.

Halo 3? More of the same. Total cop out "ending". Epic my ass.

CoD4? Uh, they made an online tactical team game with an online portion that doesn't work. And does everything in its power to prevent people from playing as a team. Party system is garbage. No messaging system. Clan support is almost non-existent.

Bioshock? We gonna remake System Shock 2, slap a fresh coat of paint on it, remove any difficulty whatsoever and have no replay value of any kind.

Assassin's Creed? Its like being stuck in a time warp, lets do the same thing over and over and over again. And again.

And you forgot Mass Effect, one of the biggest disappointments in gaming. Lets put the cart before the horse and have all these ambitions for what the game could be, but then lets screw it up by including a buttload of technical problems. Next time, delay the game and fix that crap.

The Wii has motion sensing. Great. The games are nothing new. But you can swing the remote like its a sword!!! Its all overly simplistic trash. They couldn't care less about online gaming. Lets buy the same games over and over again with more peripherals! Not to mention they will always have the worst version of multi-plat games.

a wii and either a ps3 or a 360 since they share 90% of the same library.

I have a pc so I think i'd lean toward wii and ps3.

I was trying to proove a point to Weapons_Free, telling him that Super Mario Galaxy beat all of those great games on 360 for game of the year ( as they are great I will not deny it, I own a 360 myself) and he basically tried saying thats an easy feat because those games suck, get it?

No it didn't, it makes perfect sense. As a main console the Wii is the weakest but it is the best secondary console. Likewise the 360 (and to a lesser extent) the ps3 are good main consoles but it'd be retarded to buy both of them as so many of their games are multiplatform

I love games. My favorite ones from last year were Bioshock, Assassin's Creed, Orange Box (specifically HL2), and Mass Effect, but I still think the year was grossly disappointing and that those games have serious faults with them. I can ignore those which HL2 suffers from because the game is old. But every other one of those games has significant flaws that prevent any of them from being "amazing".

Theres really no "Best 2 Console Combinations" because either way you wouldn't have access to the exclusives that the 3rd console has to offer.
