Jrpg's just doesn't cut it these days. They have absolutely nothing interesting or new to offer. They are playing it way too safe. What we need is a new superb console Mana game to blast things off, or instead of a complete remake of Chrono Trigger a new one.

Ports or Square Enix (or at least SE esque ) is the state of the JRPG market today.

Not gonna jump the gun like the threadstarter, but if any company could make the best jrpg, it's Tri-Ace.

Made the jrpg with the most genuinely alive setting last gen in Radiata Stories.

Improved upon the second best jrpg of the ps1 era with Silmeria.(ValProfile was top of the line, only surpassed by Chrono Cross imo)

Tri-Ace has the pedigree and the history.

The only way they could make it a better game, would be to have Itoi write the script.

Unique gameplay and great rewards? Tri-Ace all the way.

It does look cool, but you HYPED Blue Dragon too...you are just too excited for only 360 RPG's.

I want to see some unbiased looks at great RPG's all around.

Everybody in the world who loves JRPG's was allowed to hype Blue Dragon considering that at least half the Chrono Trigger team worked on it.

You sir cannot spell. Dude. Anyway, I said a complete CT remake instead of what SE is trying to pull with the DS version. The Chrono franchise deserves more. Learn to make a point. No "the best jrpg" is probably not "the best jrpg" ever.

You should've posted scans of Chrono Trigger to make your opinions more relevant, instead we've got something from...

Yea, its awesome. The only flaw was its length, but that was fixed by the fact that Chrono Trigger was 12 hours long :P.

IU does look pretty cool, but i am more excited about White Knight Chronicles for a new IP JRPG.

You're hyping this waaaaaay too much. Best JRPG ever? On 360 maybe, but ever? Hell no.
