So what's all this about then? :)You remember. In one of the previous polls, he said something about drolling, and I called him on it for the misspelling. But, someone actually did "droll".

Kameo isnt human- isnt that a disqualification?CwlHeddwynMorrigan is a vampire. As is Rayne.
Sorry, Succubus. Not sure if anyone caught my error yet. A succubus is technically a demon, right?

I was just gonna reply with that, and actually Morrigan is a succubus. Also Cortana, Kos Mos and Zelda aren't human either. But they're all humanoid enough and feminine to qualify :)Â

Time to bring it back I see.
Beauty has been portrayed in art before, many times in paintings. In fact beauty has been captured in film. But a photo and a painting are both essentially the same thing - just a representation. And not limited to just people, landscapes and objects too. A photo is capturing someone who was posing for the photographer. The same can be said of a painting where a woman sat before the artist and his canvas.
The painting itself isn't the person, but the skill of the artist represents the image of that person, and we can say "she's beautiful". But then again many artists don't need a reference in front of them to paint something, they have the knowledge of what a person looks like and can create that from their own imaginations, while applying the same techniques he used with a real model, that makes it look as real as someone who was in front of their canvas.
So where the painting of a person who posed represents the image, a painting created from the artists imagination represents the idea of a real person. Look at it this way. if the artist showed you two pieces, one of a woman who posed before him, and the other of one he created from his imagination, would you know which was which? How different are they really then?
Look, nobody is talking about any of these characters as real women. We all KNOW they aren't, none of us here have lost our grip on reality.... well maybe a little ;) But really, this isn't a thread to be taken very seriously, it's all just light hearted fun, playing with fantasy. That's it really :)

not many people look at paintings of women and think "oh wow, she's beautiful... id like to bang her later mmmhmmmmm" where as i wouldn't put it past some of the people here to think that about some female game characters.Â
if you can treat it lightheartedly as 'art', then fine, go nuts.Â

But art IS able to portray beauty (not just people, but nature and landscapes, etc...), has been created for that purpose for centuries. And many people can see the beauty (not speaking of lust, but appreciation of beauty) in art. THAT, along with your last line, is the main point.Â

Many people, not just gamers, have that type of discussion all the time. And again, not just limited to games, but in all aspects of fiction, though probably in movies and TV more than any media. Debates of who's the more macho cop, the toughest gunslinger, the most badass villain (which IS Darth Vader btw :) ) from popular culture is commonplace and not just on the net. It's not some abnormal psychological disorder as you (and a very few others) would make it out to be - so long as the understanding of the fantasy element is there of course.
Rikku always had that "drunk giggly sorority girl" look going on. I was so surprised that FFX-2 didn't feature cut-scenes of her passed out, with her clothing strewn about, and Yuna muttering, "god, she slept with another guy last night?" FoamingPanda
whoa, way too harsh, wayyyyy too harsh :?Â
