The Big Games of '08

In all honesty, the excitement I had for the rest of the year's games is dwindling.

With LBP coming out in October and Gears 2 in November, there really isn't anything else that looks all that exciting.

Perhaps I'm missing a few games, but with RE5 and FFXIII not coming until '09, much of the quality '08 games have already been released.

What else are you excited about this year? Is there any reason to be excited for Wii?

I am looking forward to the new DDR on the 360. I am also picking up the Sonic Bioware game for the DS.

Then de Blob for the Wii.

I am not sure if I will be getting LBP for my PS3 yet or not.

There is a number of other games I think I will be getting. But those I want the most.

Fallout does look good but I will wait for it to drop in price and pick it up used. LMP does look more my style but I am not sure if I will be getting it either.

Banjo is another great looking game coming out this year.

Its like saying Disaster Movie is a better movie than The Dark Knight. Sure both can entertain you, but one has more quality than the other

Hopefully. The only thing that bothers me about F3 is that in the E3 videos the graphics look kind of weak

Flop as in score an 8.5 or lower? The game is too "small" to get a 9.0. You basically create a map, then walk through it... That can only be fun for so long

LBP = the real GOTY contender for me for me

Fable 2 could be alright, Gears and Resistance seem like the same old crap and fallout 3 is a pretty ugly looking game that reeks of Oblivion

I could be surprised but I really thing LBP will be the best game this year

The way i see it, the only games that have a chance of competing for 2008 GOTY with GTAIV and MGS4 are LBP, Gears 2 and Fallout 3.

not really. fallout 3 looks like trash. oblivion with guns. and fable 1 wasnt what it was cracked up to be and fable 2 doesnt seem that amazing to me yet

I thought the same thing, but then I downloaded the gameplay vids on Xbox live and watched them on my HDTV, and trust me, they are fine.
