I'd agree that Halo 3 will probably outscore Pokemon, but Pokemon will outsell Halo 3. Pokemon is the Oblivion of the Nintendo consoles. :P

 I think its funny you're comparing a handheld's sales (not to mention a handheld with a monopoly on the industry and a significantly larger userbase, to a game that had no card game or cartoons preceding it and a 21 mil userbase where 1/3 of the owners bought it. Now you tell me, which is more impresive.

So tell me how many did green sell alone and compare it to adding both halo 1 and 2... adding games can make any one look better

By your same logic, we shouldn't include the 20 GB PS3 in the total PS3 sales because it isn't the same PS3 as the 60 GB version. Get over it. Pokemon Red/Blue/Green all count as 1 game in terms of sales because they were released at the same time, they are the same generation and the major differences is not in terms of story, but what Pokemon are available in the game. [sarcasm] Maybe we should start comparing the sales of the core 360 to the Wii, and maybe then we'll figure out that the Wii has sold more than the 360! [/sarcasm].

Ok first of all the game came out before the card game and cartoons were made so I dont exactly know what that comment is about.   Secondly Pokemon practically sold to 1/3 of its userbase so whats the point of that comment.

And I could probably post the other 20 or so crap excuses fanboys come up with, but honestly, both Halo and Pokemon are good. You'd have to be some kind of raving lunatic to not at least admit that both series are great series in their own right. Pokemon has amazing customization of parties and a very equal and balanced out battle system coupled along with extremely long replay value. Halo is one of the only FPS's with a decent storyline (except for MC, most boring character ever) and singlehandedly made online gaming popular on consoles while also being one of the best FPS's out there.

Ah well, as long as there are games, there will be systems wars.

yea even a diehard pokemaniac such as I can admit that Pokemon isnt as big as it used to be, not to mention its not even really an AAA franchise... 

The whole "pokemon is for kids" argument is ridiculous. Pokemon has alot more depth than most of the crummy RPGs out there (FF, I'm looking at you). Besides, most non-gamers think games like Halo, Metal Gear and yes, even Gears is for kids just because it's a videogame. Pokemon will be a great game and when Battle Revolution comes out on the Wii, it will be a gaming experience unlike any other (unless you count poke'mon stadium with the transfer pack).
