While I disagree with the logic of this thread, what exactly do 3 FF games prove? That sony isn't doomed? If so than sure but you didn't need to post those games to prove that lol.

Proboly right, but doesint mean FF13 alone wont sell millions. Doubting FF in the japan market is like doubting Halo in the american market.
He's crazy if he thinks that that will happen. That is just ridiculous in my opinion.

and there are how many colors of the wii in japan? and how many in america? America had at most 4 colors of the gamecube...japan had what 10? more? just because the gamecube had 4 colors doesn't mean we'll get the black wii.Ofcourse we will.... that's the best color and Nintendo likes money. There was a black GC here ;) Just accept Nintendo's domination and move on :) Love that accept nintendo domination? because at any point what i said was making out otherwise? you dont know the black wii will come here, the gamecube only received different colors here about 4 of them because it sold so badly and nintendo had to think of some way to get the gamecube to sell and thats a simple fact. The wii sells great here i doubt they are gonna try messing with that by releaseing a new color, as i've said before when this is confirmed for america then something can be said, till then this is a jpn only thing and its a simple fact Japanese companies DO NOT like serving the interests of foreign consumers which is why we NEVER get all the special stuff the japanese consumer gets in the game industry.[QUOTE="WilliamRLBaker"][QUOTE="screechmario"]It'll come sooner or later like the different GC colors... only the Wii is much sexier.

Uh... The Wii was always crushing the PS3 in Japan... On another note I can't wait to get Monster Hunter 3 here in the states though it probably won't come until mid 2010. Shame we most likely won't get Monster Hunter G to fill the gap.FlamestosPS3 has been outselling the wii in Japan for the most apart (since the end of last year to present)
Sony cant stop Nintendo first attack ( MH3 + its bundle ) we can say this is Nintendo pay back for Sony after Sony first 2 attacks in 2009 ( Ryu ga gotoku 3 and FFVII AC ) but they can stop the 2nd attack ( DQX ) with FF13 and probably we wont see DQX till 2010 cuz DQIX still not released on DS yet.

You mean the ones that will have the wii passing the PS3 year to year next week despite the PS3 blowing its biggest games until the release of FF13? The same ones that have the wii outselling the PS3 again?

Lol, no, sheep just seem to be under the misguided impression that the wii outsold the PS3 for 2009. It didn't.With this weeks media create sales it just went ahead. PS3 is done in Japan with all the huge games coming for the rest of this year. Why desperately cling on to this when its just going to lose 2009 bad anyway? The wii may have outsold the PS3 for the month of May, but it is not outselling the PS3 by a large margin. The sales as of May 25~31 are both below 20k. The PS3 has outsold the wii spanning from February (and perhaps even January) to April. It's highly doubtful that recent wii sales will have tipped the scales already. The PS3 has definitely outsold the wii for 2009 in Japan. At the same time, yes its very possible for the Wii to outsell the PS3 for 2009 in the end. However, the wii seems to have lost its fad status and it's sales have seriously deflated in Japan. What we're seeing now is true competition between the consoles, so with Final Fantasy XIII looming around the corner there's certainlya chance of PS3 outselling the Wii in Japan for 2009.
At the same time, the PS3 will never take the wii in worldwide sales, or at least not any time soon.
A bigger problem than pride over sales is that Sheep do not effectively hype their library. They simply hype everything, and make long lists of mediocrity littered with quality in order to make it seem like the tables are turning for their system. Now while no one can really say that nintendo isn't making an effort this gen with the announcement of a second mario game and a new metroid, the wii still has a lot of catching up to do and sheep are fooling themselves if they think that the wii's 3rd party lineup is anything to brag about.

You're right. The Wii won't pass the PS3 until next week lol. Such a long wait I know. As for PS3 outselling wii this year  That's not happening and FF 13 isn't gonna do it, that's for sure. The gap will be huge by the time it comes out quite frankly and with Wii Fit plus and New Super Mario Bros Wii, along with games like Crystal Bearers, I don't see it happening lol.
Anyway, I won't even address the second part since we were talking about sales and you changed the subject.

The PS3 isn't going to outsell the wii's total sales in Japan. Yes, it is millions behind. But 2009 still marks a turning point. The Wii hasn't outsold the PS3 for 2009 and if these past months have been any sign, Wii sales are not guaranteed to trump the PS3. Monster Hunter may be a big title in Japan, but Final Fantasy XIII is a much bigger deal. If Dragon Quest X comes out this year, then no, the PS3 stands no chance. But it isn't, is it? PS3 can take 2009 sales for Japan. And even if it does, no it doesn't mark the defeat of the Wii. But it does invalidate the idea that Japanese 3rd party developers are all going to move over to the wii because of sales.

The difference being it actually got the ocassional good selling third party game in Japan until recently. Dragon Quest Swords, Umbrella chronicles, Knight of Ratatosk, all games from popular franchises sold decentand nintendo always had something to stimulate hardware until recently. The thing didn't sell itself, as crappy and sparse as the games were atleast within that time frame they existed. For the last 6 months, MHG has been the only note worth game. That's just sad.
