Nintendo, who doesn't love them for Mario, and Zelda? I sure do, but recently Nintendo has been spitting out these "CASUAL" gamer games. Now yes, I can't say that Rayman Raving Rabbids, or Boogie by EA doesn't look cool, but the problem I have is the way that they just won't stop coming out. It's like I'm swimming in them, and there are some good hardcore games that are in there, but it's so difficult to find them! Nintendo however is coming out with some great hardcore games this year and next, for exzample:

  • Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass
  • Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
  • Medal of Honor: Airbourne
  • Residnt Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles
  • Super Mario Galaxy
  • Super Mario Kart
  • Super Paper Mario

I find the fact that 3/7 of those titles were mario, stangely odd.

The CASUAL games that Nintendo is coming out with this year do look, OKAY. Such as Wii Fit, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 (if you're a fan of the series), and Boogie as I already mentioned. As you can see, I dont really have to much of a complaint for this as much as one of the things you put into a suggestion box.

  • LESS CASUAL, MORE HARDCORE
  • No more games entirely made from mini-games
  • Nintendo, stick with what really works for you, but do it less, and add in more of us.

That was the Joe Jefferies Complaint of the Day!

Rayman and Boogie aren't Nintendo. And what do you mean by hard to find? Like they get hidden behind other games in gamestop?

Hrm, you're surprised that the Wii has too many casual/party games and would like more hardcore games?

I don't know what to tell you, except buy another system or a PC. A system that generated 50% of it's hype from a tech demo that involves legless cartoon bowlers and is often referred to as "The system that even my grandma plays!" is not going to have a good real game VS. party game ratio.

Sorry.

It took the DS a year to get any good games... the Wii already has a handful. Just wait, the good games are coming.

Wii is becoming huge. It doesn't have to choose one or the other. Kinda like the DS, a lot of casual games but still enough hardcores.

The system actually has less casual games than hardcore games.

See why I say it's not as much of a Complaint as it is a suggestion, there is really an okay balance, but some of what they are calling hardcore, is really hardcrap in my opinion.

No matter how strong Nintendo's line up is, their first party alone can't carry a system to vicotry. They're going to need to pick up third party (good third party) support and soon.

Preach it! Nintendo really needs to get some good games in there, or they really will of just been a fad!
