Kept you all waiting huh? Better late than never as they say. I've been on this old cripple GS/SW for the past 10 damn years now. I really want to do something for the SW community, so this is how we're going to do this. There will be 3 winners. 1st place winner gets 3 free games of their choosing on their favorite platform as I'll buy the game of their pick and 2nd/3rd places gets 1 free game of their choosing. 500+ posts must be eligible to participate. December 31st is the deadline and the winners will be announced on January 2nd after the new year. And yes, I'll be entering this contest and relax, I won't declare myself as the winner (should I win of course) so let's all just have fun with it.

We will do this by each person starting a list as their first post. When you finish a game, edit your post with the game title and console. You can bump the thread with a post saying the game title but do edit your original post as well so it will be easier for me to count that is😅

Da Rules: (Nick fans will know this reference)

  1. When posting for the first time, just make a post including your initial list and a game count.
  2. Completion does not mean that you have to do X, Y, and Z for it to be completed. Completion is whatever you consider finished, whether that is just beating the game, getting every achievement, or unlocking every single item.
  3. Games released via Digital distribution count too! You can list XBL and PSN games separately, but realize that I will be putting them under Xbox 360 and PS3 listings in the main list. Wii VC games will be listed under their console of origin since they play exactly the same with no changes. Feel free to list any Indie or Flash game you think is worth it as well. (IOS included)
  4. If you beat a game that you've beaten in the past, it still counts! The list is for games completed in 2019, regardless of previous completion.
  5. Some "games" are actually compilations, such as Sonic Mega Collection and The Orange Box. Since there are multiple games, please list each of them separately.
  6. If the game is multiplayer only, it's hard to actually complete it. If you want something like Team Fortress 2 or Marvel Rivals to count, make sure it's some goal like "got all achievements" or "raised skill rank to 50" and note it in your list.
  7. Downloadable content can count, provided it's a full Expansion on the level of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Dawnguard, Hearthfire, Dragonborn or Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. If the DLC merely additional missions that are integrated into the regular game, such as Mass Effect: Bring Down the Sky DLC then it doesn't count as a separate game.
  8. Remember everyone, a game you list can be from a bygone era or current time. Just have fun and this isn't a serious contest. Let's all have fun gaming fun🥳🎊 On your mark, get set...

Neat for those who like to keep track of this stuff but not for me.

Forget very quickly when 'beating' a game, more the kind of person who keeps tabs when 100%ing games, because those are the kind of games I greatly enjoy, well worth the replay-value.

I don't think competed any.
Got about 70% into Icewind Dale and my PC blew up. Must have got sick of the enemy spam.

Been keeping track of what games I finish each year thanks to Steam having almost every game now (including Xbox and Playstation games).

I do it via Steam curator so I don't have to own the game through Steam either (for example via Gamepass or beating a game on Playstation.)

Also talk to @SolidGame_basic a lot about what games we are playing.

Here's the games I beat so far:

  1. Sniper Elite Resistance
  2. Atomfall
  3. Crysis
  4. Crysis Warhead
  5. Dragon Age the Veilguard (kinda dropped it at the tail end of last year, and was the first game I beat on my 9800X3D)
  6. Vladik Brutal
  7. Final Fantasy VII in anticipation for Rebirth
  8. Deliver us the moon
  9. Tales of Kenzera Zau
  10. Warhammer 40K Boltgun (wanted to beat the DLC too but kinda dropped it)

@Archangel3371: Still wakes the deep was a really great horror game and I found it Chinese Room's best work so far.

@R4gn4r0k: I thought it was somewhat “neat” but honestly found it largely meh. Played it through Game Pass. Not a game that I would have played otherwise.

@TheEroica: Funny enough, I'm currently playing RoboCop: Rogue City as of now. The game is really nostalgic and it's really demanding on my PC for sure which is fun to do and play.

@R4gn4r0k great completed list of games. I didn't know you play AtomFall already. How was it? Dragon Age: The Veilguard was also my first game to run test my 9800X3D. Saw tremendous difference between running my previous 5900X to 9800X3D. As I suspect, 8 cores is way more than enough to run the latest AAA games.

@davillain: yeah luckily my i7 9700k lasted me a long time because it had 8 strong cores. That PC is going to my cousin now.

But yeah I wasn't that fuzzed about scalpers since cpu is basically the last thing you need to upgrade these days. Easy wait.

First games I played were The Veilguard and Rebirth. Serious sam 4 is also a good example (and a fun game to boot) of a game requiring power.

The smoothness especially comes across as really pleasant to me. Definitely a cpu I can stress test.

Atomfall is one of my favourite games, haha. I finished it over a weekend.

I did tweak some systems to my liking. Like relying on guns a bit more and melee a bit less.

But yeah going from a dinky old rusty shotgun, to a lee enfield to a FAL was a really nice power increase.

Overall I really liked the mystery and the fact that it is set in the UK. With it's beautiful vistas and hedges.

It runs on a great engine with fantastic performance and visually uplifted by its use of HDR.

@Litchie: I did start Super Mario Sunshine not too long ago, but I didn't get far. Did you play it on original hardware?

Did you also get the true ending where you collect all the shines?

Alrighty, why not - though I'm generally not very good about finishing games, and keep tackling super long games for some reason.

1. Stalker 2 (technically, not completed due to the game crashing during a final mission cutscene but I'm counting it!)

2. Avowed

3. Orks Must Die! Deathtrap (beat all levels/bosses)

In progress: Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, Monster Hunter Wilds

Played it on Switch (3D All-Stars), and I suppose I got the true ending as I got all the shines. Didn't know there was one.

Been ages since I played it (but it was my favourite 3D mario at the time)

But isn't one ending unlocked by fighting Bowser Jr. and the other by fighting Bowser? Could be wrong though, maybe there is only one boss fight.
