I personally believe all systems go through a drought sooner or later. If I remember correctly, the 360 didn't have a steady stream of must have games its first year like it has now. Just like someone has already said, all 3 systems are going through a drought right now.
If you base the wii on Nintendo's last systems, then yes, I can see why people would say that it will have the most droughts. But if you base it on being technically easier and cheaper to develop for, then I wouldn't see it having that many droughts. Besides the PS2s huge user base, why do you think the PS2 was able to pump out so many great games so fast? IMO, I believe it was because it was easier and cheaper to develop for. Â
I also believe developers have the potential to turn a better profit on the wii. Just look at Lost Planet for the 360. It costs Capcom $40 million ($20 mil for game, $20 mil for advertising). This is a huge risk for a developer to take. This game will have to sell a tun to turn a profit, and what if the game bombed in sells. That would be a huge blow to Capcom. Since wii games are cheaper to make than 360/PS3 games, developers could spend half that money not worrying about HD graphics and just make and excellent game. A high quality wii game wouldn't have to sell as well as a high quality 360/PS3 game for developers to turn a profit. Of course this is my opinion, so I could be completely wrong.

Note, please, the bolded/underline and italic line. The PS2 was hailed as a nightmare, development wise, for the first two years. So part of your argument dies right there. Besides that, your info is pretty accurate.
As for the drought of games, Wii will have more than the other two. X360 had a serious one after launch. PS3 is about to get out of one, so every console will have droughts (if you consider the parameters the TC consider a drought that is).
