The Crew looks pathetic and plays even worse.

It frankly looks like 2010 NFS Hot Pursuit, certainly a lot worse than Rivals and has the same skill-less, physics-less driving model, you can also drive through every stump and branch with no penalty, the amount of clipping is staggering, overall this game will be extremely lucky to get even 7. The game can't hold a candle to even NFS, let alone Forza Horizon 1 - and FH2 is beyond its reach. I'm depressed at how unspectacular this game is. You don't even have to play Horizon to realize it. I feel sorry for PS4 owners as it looks they're going to wait yet again for their first decent racer.

I never once cared about this game, but I'm not into racing games.

Plus, I don't care for Ubisoft games anyways (save for Ancel's work). I file Ubisoft with EA and Activision as companies that make games I don't buy.

I guess I can feel better knowing it may stink.

LMAO!!! Don't believe the hype. I have no plans on getting The Crew at all. There's a lot of mixed reviews coming from the beta. The game doesn't look great or all that fun from what I've seen so far. I'll wait for the review.

I was worried about this game tanking but the scope still has my interest. The last gen graphics did have me concerned though.

Right now I find it satisfying to cross a game off my list even if this was delayed until next year.

Scope is the only thing this game has going for.

I don't think that PC has gotten any quality arcade racers that are exclusive to it in recent times, especially comparable to Forza Horizon. That's what I referred to, but I was typing it on the phone so I couldn't have been bothered to make that distinction. I expected others to catch my drift.

Anyway, I know that there are quality exclusive racers on the PC, especially older Simbin titles like Race WTCC as I've played a fair share of them.

NFS Hot Pursuit still looks great. Better than the Crew, that's for sure.

PC has a ton of awesome arcade racers. Yes, they aren't exclusive, but they are significantly better on PC. Dirt series is my favorite example.

@speedfreak48t5p: No... the lighting is flat, geometry is simple, tracks are bland (remember the crew is open world, online, and has wildlife, people, etc. really brings the game to life imo). Plus it lacks decent built in AA. It just feels really primitive.

Anyways, that does not sound too good,, for me to be interested in this game it will need to offer something unique and needs to be pretty spectacular, otherwise my racing needs are more than satisfied now with Horizon 2. It's too bad because on paper, and when I first heard about the Crew, I was excited....I think the pitch was an RPG with cars basically. Anwyays, I'll keep my mind open for this one so we will see how the reception is on release.

The Crew is a really bad game. The scope is great but that is all. Graphics are abysmal with no AA what so ever, jaggies everywhere, flickering everywhere, one car sound for every camera and those are terrible, no realistic physics for the cars, poor voice work, I could go on. I would give it a 7 tops because there is still some fun to be had, I wouldn't buy this game full price, wait for a massive drop in price. Of course this is all Beta experience and not what the final game may be.

Well the beta build they released a couple of months ago did look like an early alpha build so not all that surprising.
