Oh Yes definately, Gameplay all the way. I don't have to worry about this genre being Story over Gameplay. Remember NFS The Run ? I'm glad that never caught on.

@Alucard_Prime
a caR.PG ? That doesn't sound like a good idea.
Yeah that didn't come out right lol, More like a car game with RPG elements was what I was trying to say. I like the idea of having that persistent character progression system applied to cars, you know like you could level up your car, etc., basically a reason to keep using a specific car ....anyways that's how I remember the description of the game being, will see how it turns out. In any case this is the beta, maybe the final version will have all that stuff ironed out...will see
Guess the only redeeming value for ubi is Far Cry 4 this year since AC Unity is pretty much fucked for consoles (bulk of their sale) and sky high system requirement for PCs. I wonder how many staffs they're gonna shed next year. Mass redundancy imminent sorry to say.
It got rave beta reviews on steam....
Speaks volumes about the drought of quality racing games on PC.
No it really doesn't. There's a shit ton of quality racers on steam
I don't think that PC has gotten any quality arcade racers that are exclusive to it in recent times, especially comparable to Forza Horizon. That's what I referred to, but I was typing it on the phone so I couldn't have been bothered to make that distinction. I expected others to catch my drift.
Anyway, I know that there are quality exclusive racers on the PC, especially older Simbin titles like Race WTCC as I've played a fair share of them.
Trackmania 2 and Assetto Corsa
@Lulu_Lulu: It effects the performance, you level up the car by completing events and getting parts from the events. Every few levels the car level goes up as a level up perk plus parts upgrade performance as well.
@Lulu_Lulu:
Yea, not the best system in the world. The double level up system. The car level up system is basically what parts are installed + what type of spec you have on the car + the type of car it started out as. Then you have a driver type level up system that happens after so much XP that enables you perks that you can get like % off cars or so forth....
It's pretty bland level system.
I only played the prologue in the beta, and I thought the story was awful, the car handling was very bad, and the graphics were very lastgen. So I'll probably wont ever play this game again. The open world stuff seem cool, I like that it has a massive map. It reminds me a little of Test Drive Unlimited with its massive map, but TDU did everything better, and that was 7 years ago.
