I think Crytek needs to pull a id and just show all three versions side by side so everyone STFU and realizes itll look the best on PC, while the console versions will bd negligable. Just like Rage.

AAllxxjjnn

It's all up to EA.

It just constantly confounds me when devs try to quell rumors that ones going to be worse or whatever. Wanna prove their the same? send out a video of all version running side by side and show us that their the same, words dont mean that much when it comes to this. Dont wait till it releases and theyres a chance they freakin lied about it being the same.

The game looks nice, but honestly, the game looks EXACTLY like Modern Warfare 2 with nanosuits. .TheMISCMan48
You clearly haven't played the first game then, the nano suit added a lot to the gameplay and the game is not just a pretty face, unfortunatly it is viewed as shallow by people that judge it by all the pretty screen shots :(.

You know maybe they haven't got the game on a 360 disc yet, so playing the 360 build from a PC was the only way to demo it.

This is PC setting (not max though). It's confirmed from a person who played them in Gamescom. 360 setting is inferior to this.If this is 360 setting, PC can't make difference. Most of textures are very good, very high-poly & detailed character.

crysis has never used high poly models for their characters, the characters are usually less than 5000 polys around the same as a combine from half life 2. They make their characters looks so good through polybump and some other techs. Crysis 2 looks to do the same.

That guy above is talking nonsense...except textures on characters and buildings they will be COMPLETELY the same as far as polycount because assets HAVE to be the same, its VERY expensive to make assets for 360,PC and PS3 according to how much vertex strenght they have. So,characters and buildings on PC and 360-SAME.

That's all fine and good, but you're forgetting that Crysis 2 will be using DX11, which in turn utilizes tessellation, which seems natural for Crytek to use in this game. Given this, I would expect the PC version to have much higher poly-count. ;)

Of course but the thing is,the way things are now, tessellation wont make it in Crysis 2.Anyway,im talking about that trailer that was played on PC on high probably.

[QUOTE="navyguy21"] lol, you will never convince cows to concede to that lolW1NGMAN-

I don't think they think the PC version would look better either at this rate.

I remember that Crysis v.s. Uncharted 2 graphics thread.

The TC and maybe a handful of people agreeing with him out of 160 posts :? ... I'm not seeing where you're going with this.

I'm surprised that thread was even made...

Why ever not? Crytek has yet to reveal the extent of DX11 support in Crysis 2, and tessellation is as simple as using a height map to provide the parameters for the GPU to process the extra, far more detailed geometry. Obviously they aren't going to show this in your average trailer because they wouldn't want to show consolites graphics they aren't going to be receiving in-game (hence the PC footage being tempered to fit roughly in with other console games).
