Yeah this is getting pretty bad. Another win for the 360.
As long as PS3 gets the port, X360 will look better.

Hm, seems the majority agrees that they either look very equal or that each version has their own ups and downs. You're making it seem like 360 is better in every single aspect. Not a surprise though, you can never expect a good fair comparison from a fanboy. That's why i'm liking most of the discussion in this board, people are actually thinking with their brains/eyes and not their fanboyism.
edit: i also love how you completely fail to mention how the ps3 has smoother/more detailed grounds in some pictures as well as better shadows/colors in some pics as well. I also love how you mention the IGN statement but not the GS statement about better colors on PS3.
So why did he say this.
I have made some captures of the video and here's a transcription of some of the things the IGN Editor says about both games:
(Some are summarized but accurate)
"Both versions are content-identical. You wont get any special features from one game of the other."
"The Xbox 360 is much smoother both in terms of edges and models."
"You're gonna get several more jaggies in the Playstation 3 version especially when you bring up your "Darkness Powers". There are tons of jaggies in walls, in character models and enviromental pieces. In the Xbox 360 version there are some jaggies but not nearly as many as in the Playstation 3."
"Another difference is that the Playstation 3 version has several framerate drops"
"Soundwide, contentwise, gameplaywise the game is the same."
"Online gameplay is better in the Xbox 360 because of Xbox Live."
"One difference is that, in the Playstation 3 version, the TVs will show different clips that don't have anything to do with the story or the gameplay. It could make it more a immersive experience for some gamers though."
Both games look very close in screenshots. You would need to watch the video to notice the differences.
In addition to his comments, I've personally noted that the Xbox 360 features some kind of motion blur whereas the Ps3 version doesn't seem to.

 did you just call Darkness a port for ps3? you're embarrassing!
I personaly think the PS3 version looks better even though it has less AA and motion blur. The PS3 version character models look a little better same with the lighting on Jackie in the loading screens and the aiming seems a litlle better but I get achievments on my 360 so I'm sticking with my 360 version.H3llstrikeI'm not picking on you, dude. I just like to pick on any company that over-promises and under-delivers because they deserve every bit of it. But wasn't the PS3 suppose to make the 360 look like Xbox 1.5? If so, why do you have to pick at straws to say it looks 'a little better' (not a quote) than the 360? Krazy Ken said it would look like a platform a generation ahead of the 360. Guess that's why he isn't around anymore.

I don't understand the fascination with motion blur. If I want blurry vision, I'll just take off my glasses. majadamus
i don't think you understand what motion blur is :|
I don't understand the fascination with motion blur. If I want blurry vision, I'll just take off my glasses. Some 360 pics look better and some PS3 pics look better. The AI seems pretty stupid in this game after watching gameplay footage. The critics seem to comment on it as well. Bottom line, I'm not buying the game. :) majadamusit just shows games are getting to the quality of atleast modern film. Motion blur is a method to make something rendered in 30FPS to appear more fluid.
Both games look almost identical. I see some jaggies on the 360 version, but I also see it on the PS3 version too. However, the PS3 version has much better color. I wonder if that has to do with HDMI version 1.3. HDMI gives you much better color, and I think that may be why color always seems to look better on the PS3.
Anyways, I have this for my PS3. The game is worthy of a purchase. I have not played many games where I really connect with the characters. I nearly cried when one was killed, and swore I was going to climb through the tv to rip off the bastar% that did the killing. I have never really grown attached to charcters like this game. Sure the AI is not the best, but it is still a really good game. Way better than FEAR, IMO. Sure Fear had good AI, but everything else sucked beyond belief.
Also, the images in this thread does not do the game justice. The game looks much better on my HDTV.

this was allready done here... but:
the 360 version wins this match. This is copied from another forum thread:

Jaggies are often showing more and more on PS3 games, why is that? But, it looks very identical, I'll still be getting this game.Hermitkermit
The 360 is capable of better AA, but the PS3 can do better lighting effects (I believe).
There are other areas in which the 360 is more capable and vice versa, but I simply can't remember which.
What horrible pics, the game looks 10X better than what was posted.
And they seem identical except there's a bit more clarity in the 360 pics.

Just imagine when games start to cost as much as films. Crysis will then look like Pong.
That's very odd.
I see some jaggies on the PS3 version, but when I played on my TV, I didn't see any at all.
The lighting for the 360 seems a little too low for me to tell if it's on the same wave-length or not.
