I'm sooo confused. I just beat Final Fantasy 2 and neither of those characters were in it, but then i went to wikipedia and it said those characters were in it...do i have a different version of final fantasy 2 for super nintendo?
I already have the full game and its alright, although Im a huge FF, Dissidia just isnt THAT good. A 6.5/10 IMO.

I think for after the Anniversary FFII remake on PSP they were given names. Before that they might have been nameless... maybe? :(

Before that they might have been nameless... maybe? :( Actually i read that the one they mentioned was a "japanese only" one and the one i played was the second installment in NA and the 4th in the series...however i guess to save on costs they decided to give the NA Final Fantasy 2 the same boxart as the japanese one.

I imported it day 1, its fun for a while, but nothing special. Its SE's first Fighting game, so of course its not as complex as street fighter, I guess I was just disappointed.
EDIT: Why aren't Shantoto and Gabranth on that list? They're not really secret characters... you just can't unlock them with pp like the rest of the villians

lol me too a game made on a portable, it's a missed opportunity for the game being on a console especially this one.... and no, I'm not a real fan of handhelds *raises flame shield*

Who knows. Maybe Square Enix could have given Smash a run for its money. Better yet maybe they could have broken into the fighting scene with the likes SNK, Capcom, Aksys, Namco, Sega ect.

Dude, I buckled down for like 8 and a half hours to do this thing. I could care less about spelling errors at this point. :P
Very nice thread. No mention of FF11-12's character? xD Anyways having played the game, it was fun but I can't say it lasted me too long since it got rather dull facing computers. 8/10 IMO.

Cloud is definitely my favorite thus far. I have taken out guys within the first 10 seconds of the match with him.
