The Dreamcast had a better Online Service than the Wii/Wii U

The Dreamcast came out in the 90s and had online multiplayer superior to that of what Nintendo can offer.

Dreamcast Online allowed people to chat with each other, had no friend codes, and you could play MMO's on it.

I think if Sega added a DVD player to the Dreamcast from the start, it would be Nintendo who would be making 3rd parties for other platforms which wouldn't be a bad thing since Nintendo games would have stepped into the NEXT gen a long time ago.

It will take a while for people to know how well the console's online will be.You're just using your crystal ball at this point.

The Dreamcast had a better service than any system in concept, since it was an ISP it actually was a service and could be optimized for online gaming in a way that no other network that requires an outside ISP could. Additionally, since the ISP is the service, you don't get DSL players lagging everything up.

No, not really. The Wii can play MMOs (DQ10), you can chat on the Wii through Wii Speak and the Headbanger Headset (though its a shame these communication devices weren't used more) and beginning with the 3DS you only have to put in a code once and then it syncs your friend lists for all games which would only make sense will either continue with or be improved with the WiiU.

And clearly you have no idea what you are talking about if you think the was the lack of a DVD player that put Sega out of the hardware game. It was a combination of things, such as Sega of America and Sega of Japan failing to communicate. When the Saturn was released in America, Sega of Japan has already had plans for the Dreamcast to come out. When Sega brought out Neptune (Mega Drive/Genesis and 32X console in one console) gamers already knew the Saturn was coming out soon and so no one bought it.
