Oh come on, the psp has a great lineup of games. The DS has no games like MGS, GTA, Ratchet & Clank, a non sucky Burnout, Jeane D'arc, Star Ocean!, God of War, Tekken and other games I actually want to play.

Mario kart is better than every racing game on the PSP (and one of the most fun games eevr) and Brain Age is great for adults (and it has DR Mario + Sudoku built in)

It the only handheld I actually gave more attention to and even now, I'm giving it more attention than my consoles, so yes, it's definitely my favorite. But damn, thats one LARGE list of games you got there. We should play Mario Kart sometimes. I haven't played that in sometime, but thats only because theres alittle bit of too many hackers online and not enough skilled natural drivers...tocool340

I hate snaking in Mario Kart, it pisses me right off but yeah i wouldn't mind giving you a game some time. I've also got a few other cool games that are online (Zelda, clubhouse games, puzzle league etc). I cant wait to try out advance wars 2 online though, that game looks amazing

Only have Mario Kart, Zelda, Metroid Prime: Hunters, and Pokemon Diamond. I would have about half your list, but most of them are single player or multicard wireless and not online.....

the new tiger woods game is great, madden's supposed to be pretty ace as well

The DS Lite is a great handheld, but I personally think the PSP Slim is the greatest of all time. In fact, I would even say it's my second favourite piece of gaming hardware i've ever bought. I recently put custom firmware on the machine, and my God does it make it ten times better than before. It's quite funny that without the awesome software community, the handheld would have little value to me.

The PSP game library is solid enough by itself, but when you've got access to perfect, full-speed emulators for a variety of consoles on top of that (I won't name names for my own sake), it combines into one orgasmic experience. Then add the media stuff like music and movie playback, TV output, remote play with my PS3 via wi-fi and an internet browser, and it starts to make a lot of sense.

Just yesterday I was playing Final Fantasy VII on the PSP, then I followed it up with some Metal Gear Solid and a bit of Tekken 3 (all of which were legally ripped from my original PS1 discs). Later this month, i'm going to be importing a US copy of Chrono Cross for use on my PSP... imagine that, I can now play all the games I missed because of living in the EU and not having an NTSC console.

PSP sucks... sold mine. GTA just didn't feel the same on it, and the only good game I played was MLB 07: The Show.

The d-pad is improved greatly on the Slim (which is why I mentioned the Slim specifically in my post). It's been raised so it has the lovely chunkiness and feel of the superb PlayStation controller d-pads. The analog stick has also been improved, though it can still admittedly become a strain after a few hours. Generally, it feels a bit stiffer - it's not like the old one which felt like it was going to fall of. Yet, despite the stiffness, it somehow feels easier to manouver. The stick doesn't jar as much in certain positions, and during fast movements you get less hang-ups. It's by no means perfect, but it's definitely better.

Sorry, but with all due respect to the PSP and their wonderful hackware, I don't want a hacked firmware that chances are it's going to break with one dumb decision. I prefer a DS Lite because it has a new way to play, and the games appeal to me more than the games on the PSP. I would still get both, don't get me wrong, but I just find the DS Lite more appealing to me.hiphops_savior

Common misconception. Custom firmware is as safe as official firmware, as long as you don't continually fiddle with the PSP's flash0 folders. And if you do happen to brick it, merely use your Pandora battery to fix it again (which you should have anyway if you're installing CFW on a Slim PSP).
