Can't say really. Only TES games I liked were Morrowind and Oblivion, I really disliked Skyrim, mechanically the game improved, however the story and quests, the meat of any TES game, we're substantially lacking.
As for Final Fantasy, never been a fan over the years. Attempted Final Fantasy 7 numerous times and gave up out of boredom. To my surprise I actually enjoyed both XIII and XIII-2, never did try Lightning Returns though. I think FFXIII's biggest sin with gamers, even if they refuse to admit it, is it lost PS3 exclusivity. If it had maintained it, it probably would be more well received with PS gamers, just like they were gleaming in excitement for years over FFXV (or FFvsXIII then) when they knew nothing about it, except it would be PS3 exclusive...
Anyhow, Final Fantasy as of late hasn't disappointed me, whereas Skyrim has, and I wonder if Bethesda has it in them to make classical RPGs (in terms of quests), or will they be try to make worlds of auto-generated content, as was case in Skyrim, and I've reason to suspect in next Fallout.
Then again, at least Bethesda is making games, there's still no end in sight for XV, they also did that expensive XV demo bundled with a late port of Type-0, which I straight up despise (the sales tactic, not the game). And FFVII is being remade, which apparently the games director didn't know he was doing.
Hmm, I may have to rethink my ranking of these two.
