An eBay seller with tongue planted firmly in cheek has a pair of 4D Glasses that have been "specially designed for the much anticipated PS3." Not only that, but these glasses will enable you to turn time from Spring to an "Early November" just like that.

It's a joke. I hope you don't actually beleive it works.

4-D gaming is marketing spin that you seemed to have embraced whole heartedly. And you're awfully critical of MS for having a new SKU when the PS2 had 3 of them, and one of them tanked completely. That's right, remember the PSX? Didn't think so.

There's no consensus on exactly what the 4th dimension is, but it's usually thought to either be time or vectors which connect length, height and breadth (or something like that). There is really no way it applies to how we play video games. And before you say it, time travel is already in video games.

When Sony said they were bringing about the era of 4D video games, they said something that didn't make scientific sense, and was obviously trying to build a cheap gimmick around something people understand (ie the move from 2D to 3D) to say their product would be branching out in a manner simply not possible.

That's why the 4D comment is so ridiculous.

It is impossible for humans to even imagine 4D, let alone make it. 4D actually has to do with Quantum Physics, than it does with gaming, geez when will these cows learn to keep there feet out of there mouth's. Ken has been owned when he said it could do 4D when not a single human can see 4D, we live a 3 DIMENSIONAL world, not a 4 dimensional one.

There's no consensus on exactly what the 4th dimension is, but it's usually thought to either be time or vectors which connect length, width and breadth (or something like that). There is really no way it applies to how we play video games. And before you say it, time travel is already in video games.

When Sony said they were bringing about the era of 4D video games, they said something that didn't make scientific sense, and was obviously trying to build a cheap gimmick around something people understand (ie the move from 2D to 3D) to say their product would be branching out in a manner simply not possible.

That's why the 4D comment is so ridiculous.

Your wrong..the 4rth dimension of gaming will be the presentation....not the looks.....sounds.....but the way you experience it all as one....anybody can play Oblivion but only ps3 owners can really know what next gen is when we stare at the snow in resistance...NOBODY...not even PC owners know that feeling.

Lmao. A dimension is something you use to define or measure the characteristic of an object, it's not presentation. I see the Sony hype machine has been so effective on you it's managed to leave you devoid of any basic human logic or scientific understanding. Current gaming is 3D because it represents length, height and breadth. Consoles like the NES were 2D because they only presented length and height. Dimensions in video games are the same as in reality.

And how can PC owners not experience an equal and superior level of quality to PS3 owners? High end PCs are now more powerful than PS3s.

It's believed the concept of the 4th dimension to be time itself, but it's a concept humans cannot even percieve since we live in a 3-dimensional world.

There's no consensus on exactly what the 4th dimension is, but it's usually thought to either be time or vectors which connect length, width and breadth (or something like that). There is really no way it applies to how we play video games. And before you say it, time travel is already in video games.

When Sony said they were bringing about the era of 4D video games, they said something that didn't make scientific sense, and was obviously trying to build a cheap gimmick around something people understand (ie the move from 2D to 3D) to say their product would be branching out in a manner simply not possible.

That's why the 4D comment is so ridiculous.

Your wrong..the 4rth dimension of gaming will be the presentation....not the looks.....sounds.....but the way you experience it all as one....anybody can play Oblivion but only ps3 owners can really know what next gen is when we stare at the snow in resistance...NOBODY...not even PC owners know that feeling.

I see the Sony hype machine has been so effective on you it's managed to leave you devoid of any basic human logic or scientific understanding. Dimensions in video games are the same as in reality.

And how can PC owners not experience an equal and superior level of quality to PS3 owners? High end PCs are now more powerful than PS3s.

4-D gaming is marketing spin that you seemed to have embraced whole heartedly. And you're awfully critical of MS for having a new SKU when the PS2 had 3 of them, and one of them tanked completely. That's right, remember the PSX? Didn't think so.

Games already incorporate time travel (Prince of Persia for example). But for a game to be 4D in a sense we're talking about here, you'd need to be able to play every point of it simultaneously.

Actually the thing they don't get, is that GPU's calculating monster's, as processors are to but, crunch number's diffferently based on it's purpose. You can't compare an R600, and a X6800 to the PS3. Since it will just get slaughtered by the PC, especially in gaming. You have so much more freedom with a PC.

Wait a minute, this needs to be cleared up. First of all it is not that simple to say the 4th dimension is time. It is fairly complicated and there are several articles on this. Not saying you are wrong, just saying it is more complicated then you are giving it credit for. Also, the TC is clearly not referrring to "time travel" in games. He is trying to create a 4th dimension in a 3-D reality. :shock: He even stated he would put us in his sig when Sony develops this new dimension. :lol: This stuff is priceless, only in SW can stuff like this even be debated.
