Tyranids, anybody who says otherwise are people who don't know much about TyranidsLonelynight
That's why Zerg will win, Tyranids aren't well known enough.

[QUOTE="foxhound_fox"]Uh... the Tyranids are pretty much the greatest and most powerful race of beings ever theorised. Their power is limitless. They cannot be stopped... I don't even understand how the other races in the 40k universe survive attacks by Tyranids. The Zerg would be destroyed by the Tyranids quite quickly... quite.astiop
They managed to survive so far because the tyranids only have a few scout fleets within the galaxy. But yea, if they came in full force it would pretty much be over for everyone.
That, and what redmoon said.
The Jaws are closing, Leviathan is here.
Oh and lonelyknight. Look at the Zerg. Visually they are a carbon copy of the Tyrannids. The Terrans are a carbon copy of the space marines and the protess share the same strenths and weaknesses as the Eldar.
And to be honest the tyrannids are goingto destroy everything.Once the shadow in the warp reaches terra no more warp travel for the Imperium...
I vote Zerg, because I can.
But since people are dicussion other powerful forms: Everything is insignificant next to the power of the Force.
Phantom_Menace
Shadow in the warp. This removes the aboility to use all warp related activitys. Jedi are meerly beta lvl Psykers.
But thats all moot. Once the pure coldness of the hive mind meets the chaos gods we are going to have a fight on our hands...

I pretty sure both were ripped strait from starship troopers (the book) except for the protoss/eldar.
cerabrates=unkillable by anything other than a dark templar.
laughingman42
As far as I can tell the hive mind would either fry them or take them under their control.
This is confusing me,
The Flood would beat the Tyranids, but the Zerg would beat the flood who would then get beaten by the Tyranids.

Nope. The flood have no chance against the tyrannids. As soon as gravemind gets under the shadow in the warp. No communication. Within a few months of first contact the tyranids will have evloved to the point were mindless predators are no threat.
Next.

The only similarity I find about the eldar and protoss is that they are aliens. And I know that Stacraft copied Warhammer 40k

Except that Starcraft doesn't have demons, gods, evil corrupted version of humans, robots lead by a mummy, etcs. Military Sci-Fi is not unique to Warhammer, you know. This stuff existed since Starship Troopers, The Forever War and Ender's Game. I find that both the Tyranids and the Zerg are refined versions of Starship Trooper's Arachnids (Owned, Tyranids. So much for originality, eh?), down to their tactic of sheer numbers (Arachnid Queens can spawn 10,000 Warriors in mere minutes with plenty of eggs in reserves).
Zerg get their ass handed to them so many times it's not even funny. Hell, they get owned by brainwashed convicts in armor who carry peashooters compared to Space Marine Bolters, which have trouble dealing with larger Tyranids.aliblabla2007
So freakin true, Starcraft Marines are still cool though.
OH and this is just one of the things the nids can throw against the Zerg...
I enjoyed Starcraft, but being an Ex-40k freak I have to say, the Zerg would last mere minutes in the field against the Tyranids.
Imagine a zerg rush, but except with tens of millions think millions upon millions. Think ultralisks but then imagine an ultralisk that is half the size of the Empire State Building. So what if the Zerg have some Overlords or whatever? The Tyranids have their own psycic menace as well. Not to mention that the Tyranids have organic versions of orbital dropping, with their spore bombardments and such things.
Zerg are a watered down copy of the Nids. Nids are meaner, angrier, sharper and come in infinite varieties, numbers and flavours. However I never really understood why they would be so dangerous against the Imperium, with the Imperium having Viral Bombs that can wipe out an entire planet with a single shot... Not to mention all their warp-weaponry and other such nerdy devices.
Ahhh all this nerdy vs discussion makes me want to start collecting 40k stuff again... but then I remember how much it costs.
They're both pretty similiar actually.
Which makes me realise, Terran and Space Marines are also similiar. And Protoss and Eldar.

I couldn't agree more :)

Because if the game is broken (well, more broken), then people will start to hate it or at least the particular race.

At first i woulda said Zerg.. but come to think of it... Tyranids don't really have a weakness like the Zerg do.. i mean Zerg.. you kill the celebrate, and zerg basically dead.. tyranids don't have any ultimate weakness like that... as for some of the large things that the tyranids own.. they do have much more advanced technology..i mean they got fully functional weapons... then they have genstealers which could rip apart basically anything... i think the original zerg in starcraft 1 and brood war would be wiped out by the Tyranids, as for the Zerg in Starcraft 2... thats yet to be discovered.. vain11
