What do you think the future holds for sony Will sony last to create the ps4 Will sony go out of bussiness or Will it suffer the same fate as sega and become a third party company or mabye sony will end up dominating nintendo and microsoft
As sony has stated. The ps3 is selling about as well as the ps1 did so far, so I dont think they will have too much of a problem. thy will be 30 million plus after this holiday season which isn't bad at all for 3 years...For all we know it could end up selling 200 million plus
I don't know why people don't want the PS3 as it's the best and you get the most for your money. I have experience with the other 2 consoles and they aren't worth what you pay for them. The PS3 is a bargain for all it gives you.
People always seem to forget that Sony doesn't just make VG hardware. That company has been around WAY before the word playstation was ever uttered. They got TVs, lap tops, cameras, cell phones and a freaking movie production company.

What about it? It's a great machine, right? 23 Million sold around the world, fantastic exclusives and great online. then why is sony dropping $100 off it's price

The ps3 would need to sell 20 million consoles per year for the 10 projected years, and it just hasn't been doing that. yes..... year 9 of the ps2, selling 200k a month. thats more than 20m a year. if it had a late boom it could still even catch it's predecessor. IE, if mag hits it's hype value dead on (aka, it whups on halo:reach in sales and ratings), the ps3 will beat the wii.

then why did microsoft drop 100$ of the elite if it has nothing to worry about?
the present is great and the future will only be better for sony. i don't see how anyone can validly say the online is weak or predict that they'll turn into a 3rd party developer/publisher. The slim model is a better value over the elite 360 and the amount of exclusives coming in the next two years is greater than any other time i can think of, not to mention they all obviously have potential to be 9.0-10.0 games. The playstation 3 may be 3rd in sales, but it's no where near outnumbered by quality, games, value, or features
