Yes i do have a PS3 and a Wii and i had a 360.

I came to that conclusion because almost EVERYONE that post on system wars either had or have a 360. Come on man, it wasnt that hard to figuer out.

Because a few hundred forumites are representative of a millions of people. Not only do you not have any way to prove what your saying but what your saying is paradoxical in that, go to a Wii forum or Playstation forum and one could make the same argument in their favor, which will be wrong like you are in this case. Do me a favor and stop posting, I wouldn't want know you personally, I can only imagine the prejudice mentality you probably have.

That's a good point, but the sales will only increase temporarily. In the long run it wont make a difference, Sony will drop the price of the ps3 too at some point and they will get a temporarily sales increase too, so it even out.

omg i think im blind :cry: anyways indeed and im gonna be so sad if 360 didnt sell well after these great games + price drop :(

You make zero since at all. This topic has nothing to do with 3 years ago. This topic is related to 2008, nothing more or less. I see the you are stuck in the 360 glory days, but its kool.

also, by you having a 360 just proved one of my points. when it come to the 360, its either you HAVE one or you HAD one. The same for the PS3, the Wii, and any other gaming systems.

The price cut isnt going to do anything for the 360. Most of you guys are forgetting that nearly everyone has or have had a 360 and most of the people would have had a 360 would "never" buy another one.

Bottom line, its hard to sell something to someone if they already have it. The 360 is nothing like the PS2. The PS2 has games for everyone. The 360 doesnt.

What future upswing? It's about darn time that MS dropped their prices. Only $50 after 2 years and a half? That's brutal. This will cause a spike in the sales, but maintaining it is another story which I am not convinced will happen.

Also, the ironic part of this thread is that we're talking about sales after some MS fanboys have used the "You can't play sales" card :)

The price drops have been in effect in Europe since about May or June, and they really arent doing a whole lot to help the system out. If this has an effect at all, it will only be in the USA, and even then, the 360:PS3 hardware differences wont even be close to the size they were in 2007.

with the price point of 199.99 reached and 299.99 for the 60 gig and a healthy price point for the elite model at 399.99+ the release of rock band 2+ fable 2 and gears of war 2 ....oh yeah also the holiday bundles!!

we will also see much much fewer rrod with the jasper units, it is like microsoft finally realized how it could just wup sony's arse and still make a decent profit in the meanwhile
