i know as a ps3 owner I am not allowed to say this.. but i didn't like MGS4. I found the story a horrible mish mash of cliches. I hate the way the game sits in its moral ivory tower and lectures me about the wrongs of the world. I also found the playability very average and it annoys me that stealth games still seem to have the MOST STUPID enemies ever! I dunno, I just really did not enjoy this game one bit. Online was okay, but it takes so much lead to kill it's no fun.
Oh I also hated the way that I could access my the ammo shop at any point - EVEN MID BATTLE!!! And the excuse that my "invisible robot" was ferrying items for me was silly as hell!
I can't recall a game that everyone loves that I actually despise, so I guess I'll answer Halo. I don't despise the series, I actually think it's quite good. Just not as good as some fans make it out to be. Which reminds me...
...I do despise certain Halo fans. The ones who post here usually don't bother me, I mean the ones you bump into in Gamestop...you know,"**** yeah! Halo is so ****ing bad***! It's the best game ever!!!!! YEAH!"
Halo 3, the kiddy alien voices (with amrican accents) screaming 'Oh My God! You bastard!' was soo lame. the game felt like it was aimed at 8 year olds.
I put it in, for like 30 seconds, and i was like, welp.. thats all i needed to know, and never played it again

I've heard WoW crawls into your bed at night and latches onto your skin with it's razor-sharp claws, you awake petrifie, unable to scream, paralized with fear as the mmorpagurfeasts on your soul and enters your cranium un-noticed to wreak havoc on your socail life.

LOL... do youknow what WoW is?
It takes about 30 min. to install the game.... so you put the disc in the tray let it install for 30 sec and then cancelled the installation?
Even if you played the game for 5 min. its pretty much impossible to judge a game of that size on 5 min. of gameplay. Or maybe you just don't like MMO's
Oh and the game I dislike alot that everyone seems to think is great is "Killer Instinct", I never played it.... but I've seen it played and omg, its so stupid/boring.
Gears of War, Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect, Halo, The Sims 2, Smash Bros Melee, Zelda: Wind Waker (more like Water World), Elite Beat Agents.
Before I get attacked, its not "DESPISED" as much as "coulden't get in to" from that list though, Mass Effect I still intend to finish. Bioware let me down after Neverwinter Nights.
COD4. Although it's fun, I despise it for the fact that it tries to be a realistic military shooter. It's not. **** Juggernaut makes it so I have to shoot a guy twice in the head to kill them.Albanian_Killa

its pretty obvious its not trying to be a tactical shooter based on realism, maybe the feel of the game but not how the game works.
Metal Gear Solid 2. Halo 2/3 (Halo was ok not great but ok). Oblivion. World Of Warcraft (It's ok but over-rated). Rainbow 6: Vegas (dumbed down for console user's so they wont have to activate there brain=sell more). Call Of Duty 4 (This is Call Of Duty 2003 with skins with dated game-play, doesn't even seem to use physics). Metal Gear Solid 4. (Since Metal Gear solid the metal gear solid games have became more and more self-interested pretentious melodramatic dribble, this is that X10, tripe).
Well besides RE4 (don't even have to get into that one) I would say Metroid Prime. It's a horribly boring game in which the story is nonexistant (or really bad, if you decide to scan everything you get an uninteresting story). Not only that, but after you beat the boss you have to just walk around scanning everything until you find somewhere to go. I gave that game sooo many chances and it failed every time. I would give it a 4.0 probably.
And also Twilight Princess. I loved Windwaker to DEATH but this game just sucks. I played it in 1998 why do I need to play it now? I don't understand why people like it, it's just ocarina with some lame wolf tactics and a wierd demon instead of Navi. I never thought I would say it, but I miss navi. And can't we move on to voice acting?? Overall Twilight Princess is a really boring version of OOT. I would give it a 5.5 probably.

Because OOT was just mostly a 3D version of Link to the past, but no one complained about that, one thing I liked better in TP was the epic sized dungeons at least.
