The game that just made you go WOW within the first couple mins -SPOILERS-

I have two. The first time I played Super Mario 64 for sure was one. Bioshock was the other. At first I didnt even know the game had started, I thought it was still the opening cut sceen. Amazing is alls I can say ......

Bioshock completely blew me away with it's opening...the whole Welcome to Rapture scene is brilliant.

Runner-up would definitely be The Darkness. I never even finished the game, but dang, that opening scene was freakin cool.

God of War 2...the colossus part...that was so awesome..Blew my mind.

Smash Bros. Melee on the Cube (omg, Kirby'sshape is a perfect circle!)
Gears of War on the 360.

GRAW's opening stunned me, with the jump out of the aircraft and the gigantic spread of the city below me.

Then it rapidly got boring.

Half-Life 2's was great too, only instead of the raw gfx, it was the little things that stunned me. The physics of soda cans and trash, the lighting, NPC facial and body animations, the ambient sound, and epic feel to it.

Dude youre a joke, Frank Miller wrote 300 back in the early 90s. And look up the movie 300 Spartans, which influenced Miller into doing the comic in the first place. It was back in the 60s

Super Mario Bros., Super Mario 64, Zelda: OoT, Zelda: MM, Kingdom Hearts, and Pharaoh

halo 3 made me open my mouth wide. I expected the graphics to be mediocre because of the screenshots, trailers (and also because of cows and hermits). I played the beta and i disliked the graphics. But the campaign was a beautiful dance of techical graphics, artistic direction and excellent pacing.

Another game that owned me in graphics was lair, i thought it looked beautiful and it was actually pretty fun. (definately did not deserve a 4.5).

Gears got me in graphics too, the gore wasoutstanding.

Bioshock looked like a movie on my pc.

I can't say Super Mario 64 really made me literally say "Wow," but it really should have.

When I got out of the sewers in Oblivion for the first time, that was pretty darn good.

Final Fantasy VII's introduction was also fantastic.

The first colossus (in fact, every colossus) in Shadow of the Colossus.

Mario 64- yep. I don't really know how to describe it but i remember thinking that it was the best looking 3D game i've ever seen.

Bioshock- When i was playing the demo i thought everything looked incredible, the water, fire. I actually thought it was still a cutscene but i moved the joystick and found out i was playing :D

Also GeoW, Oblivion, Halo, Half-life 2 and Ninja Gaiden
