"During Nintendo?s Investor presentation yesterday, the company revealed that the 3DS is dominating all platforms globally for 2012. Its data also revealed that Sony?s PS3 is leading so far this year from a home console standpoint. According to the investor report the PS3 is the number one selling console in Europe currently ahead of the Xbox 360 and Wii. The Xbox 360 is leading in the US while the PS3 is again leading in Japan. The total global sales for the PS3 put it at an estimated 2.27 million units year-to-date, with the Xbox 360 following behind it with an estimated 1.78 million units. The Nintendo Wii is straggling behind with 1.28 million units. "
so ps3 was 63.8m and now it sold 2.27m so it's now total 66.07m
xbox was at 65.9m and now it's sold 1.78 so total is 67.68m
so the gap now is 1.51m
