I can't believe the mods haven't banned this alt account troll. I've seen intelligent posters who make valid points/back up their argument with facts get banned for much less.

How can this be a troll account? I have been here for over a bloody year m8, look I live in Australia so if you want me to give you details you won't know anything about them

So crysis now is destroying gaming? Whats next? Meanwhile console games like Lair, too human and others that cost upwards $20million and dont sell enough to make a profit are not destroying the industry or MS having a significant amount of faulty 360's or sony pricing a console ( which is in effect a dumbed down pc) $400 and upwardsfor about 2years ( in EU actually is still almost 400 since 300 euros is about $360-370) ? Show me 1 pc game with a development cost over $10 million that was a big dissapointment in sales ( and dont you dare say crysis because crysis sold 1,5million back in may 2008 according to crytek who knows how much it sold by now)

Hi all, I work daytime as an employee for a big company. After lots of analysis I have worked out someting astounding! The recession we are in at the moment is caused by PC gaming. It all started with the huge amount of games being developd for the PC because of all the money laying around. PC gaming development studios took loans from the bank, however they could not pay them back so they took loans from other banks to pay the loans they couldn't take back. For instance this happened with Crytek, like how they no longer patch Crysis (they have no money). It went into a cycle until the industry owed the banked into the trillions. Then there was a credit crunch, people wondered where all the money was. It had gone into gaming flops like Crysis etc.

Another company that faced the crunch were ATI, who because of the slump in PC gaming got bought out by AMD who is now also struggling. It had effects on the PC manufacturing giants of the world so it soon spread to the rest of the world.

What are your thoughts? should we boycott the PC industry for putting us in such a mess?

Olimar_the_Min
May be this would be true because Every developer complains about PC sales. But """CRYSIS""" is not a flop game.PC industry should not be boycotted.Games are made on PC on Consoles (i may be wrong) remember these names(maya,max,photoshop,c++,c..........)

Ask me something: If Crytek had no money after Crysis, then how were they able to buy Free Radical and open another studio?

exactamundo and the reason for not patching crysis is most likely down to something called the Software developement life cycle something TC should become accustomed to and aware at how it works.Once they stop supporting with patches not all bugs in software can be erradicated in some cases and schedules are awefully tight in the industry aswell.

With Crytek making CryEngine 3 and that they will see theres actually no point in patching it now its so far since release and they dont have the man power.

Oh yeah look up why the reason were in a recession. Its about the sub prime market collapsing,PC gaming has nothing to do with it.So imo it reeks of instant fail.

Yes i agree. I just got modded for insulting in this thread for no reason when i did reply directly at his question and stated my opinion. Some of the moderations are just so strict.

Anyways, more crysis pics FTW
