Anyone with two working eyes can see that Crysis is the technically better game. The PS3 isn't running 16xAF, 8xMSAA, Parallax Occlusion Mapping and the copious other things that Crysis has all at 1080p at 30fps.

[QUOTE="finalfantasy94"]The poll is too general, though. I honestly look at both games and I find Uncharted 2's aesthetic and color use more appealing than Crysis' realism. I mean, if it's technicality or realistic visualization we're looking for, Crysis wins hands down; no contest.Ok those who voted for uncharted 2 are either fanboys or just I dont know what. I love my PS3 and its games, but even I know crysis wins hands down.

Hmm I see your point.
But that's the thing, it isn't specified in the poll whether we're looking at technicality or aesthetic/artistic value. [QUOTE="Lethalhazard"]In the poll, you asked which game looks better. Uncharted 2 is way more appealing to me than Crysis. Realism is cool, but I really enjoy the art direction in Uncharted 2 vastly in comparison. It's much more brighter and vivid.Shad0ki11
For the record, both games are going for realism on some level.
I don't see how you can call Uncharted 2 more brighter and vivid. Overall, the game just looks brown and exploded with bloom, much like most console games today.[QUOTE="Shad0ki11"][QUOTE="Lethalhazard"]In the poll, you asked which game looks better. There is quite a bit of brown, as with Crysis, but the other colors are very bright and not in a bloomed way. Lots of reds, blues, etc...in some of the environments of course. Some looked a lot better than others.

Yup, Crysis annihilates Uncharted 2 technically.
Both games have very similar art****, and since art is almost entirely subjective, it is always safe to assume that a graphics thread is going to be solely about technical graphics. In which Crysis annihilates Uncharted 2.foxhound_fox
Graphics can be functional (technical) and/or artistic though. That much is opinion of which you prefer (you may call it bias, as I am biased towards brighter colored art) and I think the two artst(omgthiswordiscensoredforsomereason)yles between the game is a bit more drastic. Crysis is much more realistic (this involves the technical capabilities in even things such as the resolution, clearer textures, etc) and includes more dry colors such as a great amount of brown or faded colors. Uncharted 2 tends to use brighter colors in its scenarios, such as red, blue, green, yellow, etc...which I prefer.
Obviously, Crysis is technically superior (if we were to scale that resolution picture down to the same size as the U2 picture). There's more color and saturation in U2's art-type (I can't say st-y-l-e) however.
Uncharted 2. Better artistic direction.
Rikusaki
Yep. Artistic design is entirely determined by color saturation.
guess every one doesnt have a gaming pc like we all thought:)It's kinda sad that anyone is actually saying Uncharted 2.

You may vote for the game which you think looks better,no matter if your view is based on technical or artistic graphics. BTW sorry for being late to answer you;this thread has exploded with posts and it's easy to lose track of questions. :P
How many times must this be said? Of course Crysis looks better. It takes advantage of more advanced PC hardware which can be upgraded. A PC from 2006 (when PS3 came out) wouldnt be able to run Crysis at maximum details.tommyas
A 8800GTX (that is older than the ps3) can play crysis "1440x900, veryhigh, 30fps" or "1680x1050, high with some veryhigh setting, 30fps". Also 8800GTX SLI can play crysis "1920x1080, veryhigh, 30fps".
Crysis has no soul, no heart, no creativity. Aesthetically, it amount to little more than a tech demo. rlake
what are you puffing?

61 votes for Uncharted 2? There shouldn't be one.
Crysis for me.
mitu123
That depends on how you look at it.
On a technical level obviously Crysis is better, but it fails to create any real atmosphere. It's like the difference between any given photo, which is an almost perfect reproduction of the world vs the works of Rembrandt or Michelangelo which convey a meaning beyond the rendering.
