The Guns of the Patriots: weapon modding in MGS4 (56k warning)

Kojima's mentioned it before, but TGS is the first time we've seen weapon mods in MGS4.

Metal Gear Rex

Thats not a PSG1 it looks like an M14 Tactical and did they realy call that an SMG because it looks like a SCARH so it's a 7.62 while what dosen't mean is CAN'T be an SMG it sure would be a big heavy one. Most people would call that an assault rifle and that M4 looks like an H&K416 but thats just being picky.Tasman_basic

Thanks, I will change them. I was trying to figure out what some of them were, but it's kinda hard to tell and I'm no weapons expert. I thought the one gun was a PSG1 because it had a scope, and the PSG1 has been a staple throughout the series, but on second glance I think you're right.

Ray looks more feminine and Rex looks more masculine. Plus, Snake's driving Rex.

I doubt the weapon modding will be as comprehensive as Crysis, but ist still great none the less.

Wasn't Ray designed as a 'Metal Gear killer' though? As in, uses superior mobility and close-range firepower to take out Rex variants? :P

yeah MGS4 seems sort of a cross between 3rd person shooter, stealth and strategy.

It is a stealth game, but much like Hitman, you can beat the game by going all out guns blazing or playing it covert. Each has its advantages. The all out way means more gun fights and action and no need to meddle with sneaking a timing, but it also means that you are more likely to die from enemy fire while the stealth way means less combat and gunfights, but it takes more time and skill to avoid all the enemies.

Perhaps so, but Ocelot is driving Ray and he sucks at driving. He can't even parallel park a Metal Gear, what a noob.
