The hypocrisy here is hilarious

People keep on complaining about Nintendo consoles (like the Wii) not getting multiplats but now (judging from the rumored WiiU launch line-up games) there are ports such as Batman AA and AC3, and people STILL complain. Hilarious

These multiplats are pretty pointless as most people will just buy them on the xbox 360/ps 3 or pc for $60 as opposed to buying a new console to play them.

Once the console hits it's stride and starts seeing multiplat releases actually alongside other platforms, then people will start getting excited.

well they were refferring to next-gen multiplats. it's great that the wii U will be getting those games, but that's kind of like the 360 getting a ps2 game, but not a ps3 game. more games is always a good thing, but if the ps4 and next xbox are more powerful, the Wii U wont be getting any of those multiplats. it should be a concern for any potential buyer.

obviously, we have nothing more than rumors about hardware power, so we should probably wait before making judgements about potential multiplats

Gen in, gen out we've seen Nintendo always lacking a tad as a 3rd paty platform in comparrison to the competiton.IF the Wii U ends up in a Wii like position again in terms of power its not going to be all that helpful.

Yeah but they are both the same in power, the WiiU compared to the Xbox720 and PS4 won't be..well PROBABLY we have no idea how powerful the other two will be. But the WiiU has to have enough seperate power to support the Tablet, plus Nintendo doesn't like cutting into its profits so I *assume* it wont be a huge leap from this Gen.

I don't give a toss either way; I'm not getting the Wii U, so I'm giving an impartial view on why I think people aren't exactly getting excited.

Batman AC is coming a year late, perhaps with some bonus features that involve the tablet. Great, but the people who want to play the game probably already have.

And why did you edit out the other portion of my post? I went on to say that when the Wii U gets releases parallel to the other platforms, that's when it begins to matter. Because you can stack them up against each other in real time, not twelve months later when everybody has moved on and the games it gets are old news.

You're gonna be disappointed. Neither PS4 or Xbox 720 will recieve another 10x jump in power & graphics from 360 or PS3 like both of those consoles recieved that kind of jump from Xbox & PS2. Just because Microsoft & Sony did it once, doesn't mean that they'll do it again. They are going to want to be profitable on the very first day of next gen, & using more newer, expensive cutting edge tech, will only hinder that progress, especially when they're now making money off of each 360/PS3 console sold.
