They announced this game too early.

[QUOTE="minh800"][QUOTE="linkin_guy109"] versus 13 will be extremely lucky to even get a japanese release next year, its more then likely that the game will come out....ill say march 2013 for japan and holiday 2013 for everywhere elselinkin_guy109
What are you basing this off? We're not sure where it is in its development cycle because of misinterpretations and flatout confusion from the last interview. Since the 1st production studio is almost finished with two major products, Versus XIII will be next. Whether it releases next year or the year after - it doesn't matter. It's still not vaporware which was my point.
oh i know that its not vaporware, im fully aware of that, im basing it off of a guess based off of squares track record with translations, it usually takes them around 3+ months for a translation give or take, sometimes longer, im assuming that 13-2 will be coming out early next year for japan, mid next year for the rest of the world which should (big should) setup a reveal for tgs next year or if were really lucky e3 next year for a huge revel of versus 13 with a possible release date13-2 is coming out this year in Japan and early next year for the US.
Same here, how long did it take for GT5? 5 years? *sigh*I hope this isn't turning into another GT5.

GT5 Would like to talk to you. And DukeNukem Forever.
Well Duke Nukem its what it was. Game design passed it up. As for Gran Turismo 5, I knew quite a good number of people who bought it (including people who never played it before like my brother) and they had nothing but good things to say about it. The only people who act like its bad for some reason are internet dwellers (like me, lol. Though I didn't play it and have no opinion) and the occasional review site out for page views. I guess it could turn to have outdated game design like Duke Nukem, or could be way overhyped and be a great game treated like a flop, but I'd bet on it being a great game nonetheless. At least there not as bad as Blizzard, who released the next starcraft game 12 years after the first (cuz you know, they dont really need to make games anymore with WoW and all).
least Sony are patient and letting Team Ico do their best.
This. Unlike microsoft who will probably push 343 to make a halo game every year. (eventually, poor 343)
It actually did not. When Ico came out, the game was just a cult hit, very few even knew about it but come the later years do to word of mouth, everyone wanted to play it thus giving Team Ico the opportunity to make SotC.SOTC took a long time aswell, it will come out, just not anytime soon
HaloinventedFPS
I really don' care if it's in TGS or not, but i think its silly to say that they don't want to show it because they are "making it best as possible," its not like the game is coming out any time soon.
But then again, GT5 was probably the biggest let down this generation and we all know the story behind that game. Who knows if they plan to make another.This. Unlike microsoft who will probably push 343 to make a halo game every year. (eventually, poor 343)

I can wait.
Also, people comparing this to Duke Nukem, Too Human and GT5 are missing the point that:
Duke Nukem + Too Human failed because they swapped engines multiple times in the dev cycle. (Too Human was originally planned for PS1) and GT5 was disappointing because Polyphony are stuck in the dark ages and haven't changed anything since GT1.That, and they spent their dev time making photo mode and a track editor that's about as useful as a solar powered light bulb.
Team Ico is a very small dev team who took 5 years to make Ico and 4 years to make Shadow of the Colossus, and they were on PS2. I'm not worried about anything.
2 possibilities.
1. It's vaporware
2. It will release on PS4 eventually
At this point, I'll be surprised if it ever releases on PS3.

Hahahahah oh touche. Everything but development hell On the other hand, we have StarCraft II, which was in development for 12 years. I guess it all depends. :PPlease Log In to post.
