Bower's Galaxy Reactor is the final boss stage of SMG which is accessible after getting 60 stars. I just want to say that this is one of the most insane levels I have played in a game period. The use of gravity in the gameplay is amazing and it is full of hardcore platforming goodness!

If any of you non Wii owners are at a friends house and have a chance to play the game, make sure this is one of the levels you try out.

Luigi dies at the end of it though, makes you feel like you wasted your time.

I agree with you. THe final level does an incredible job of pulling everything that makes Galaxy what it is (gravity, platforming, flying through space, feeling of disorientation, etc) and throwing it into one level.

I felt it was a fitting endtothe best Mario game I can remember playing. Easily the best Mariogame, in my opinion, sinceMario 3 or Mario World. I haven't truly enjoyed a Mario game since the 2D days. This was the first that made me feel about gaming, the way I did back in the day.

I got all 104 stars before attempting the last level :) You really have to do it though. I kind of regret not doing it sooner cause it was that good of a level.

Star 105 is when you beat Bowser at the end of the game.

To get the last 15 stars you need to beat the game which opens up the purple coin missions. Giving you 120 stars.

the final purple comet star is the toughest I've faced (120th star). That bowser level is stimulating though. Lots of things are happening and its just great to look at if nothing else.

Sure, it was a great level, but it wasn't mind blowing. If you felt it was, you need to play more puzzle games =

They did a great job of translating the really fast super twitch gameplay of the harder levels from the 2D games to a 3D mario. It wasnt terribly hard though.

Dude... the game was easy as hell - but that was part of the charm. It never felt punishing, it never felt daunting -- it felt fun... and just all-around incredible. Every level (... with the exception of the "Honeycomb Galaxy" -- I just never really got into that one) feels like a whole new experience (it is), and as you go through... you just start smiling for no reason.

... the last level though was pretty awesome. The entire thing was even though it was really pretty easy, as you jumped from place to place, you couldn't believe what you were actually doing -- the effect was... magnificent.

However the battle with Bowser was very hard.

the level was good fun but nothing superb...on a last level of a game i wanna die and maybe curse at my TV once or twice. Its still hands down the one of the greatest games ive every played..but ill admit that the final showdown with bowser and ending was a masterpiece...

I'd rather have a lot of fun and be amazed with what I'm doing then being irritated and frustrated and ready to throw my Wiimote right into my tv.
Sunshine had an overkill in those moments, I'm glad they took a step backwards in terms of difficulty. And it's not easy for everyone, as I've personally experienced with friends and family.

But not as hard as sunshine

For those talking about difficulty, I don't think anyone is really saying the last level was insanely difficult, but rather, it was an insane level design. It really was awesome and that's all the TC is saying.

You can't %100 complete all the stars until you beat the game once. Then once you beat it you can go back and get the remaining 15 or 16 stars.

i enjoyed that level. however the level i lost the most lives on was the sweet... rrr.. the level you are running around with cakes and what not with all the cookie cutter holes in the floor... what was that galaxy called? it cost me more lives than any other level.

toy time galazy was my favorite over all. not because of difficulty. i just loved how it looked.

I thought the level was hard at first because I didn't know there were 150 purple coins instead of 100. Once I realized there were 50 extra, I managed to get the star on my very first non-perfectionist attempt.

Yeah I played that level myself trying to get every single coin and was like THIS ISN'T POSSIBLE! And then I figured there had to be extra coins, I only died 1 after that I think... and it was on my way back to the star.

As far as i know, yes it is true. I only have 120 so I cant say from personal experience. I will find out eventually, but I am taking a break from SMG for a bit. GH3 rocks.
