Looks great. Hope the multiplayer isn't just the standard deathmatch stuff everyone shoves into their games, though it's likely that that will be what it is. AAllxxjjnnIt would be such a missed opportunity. I feel like the MP in The Last of Us could be very, very cool if done correctly. Hell, something simple like a free-for-all mode where everyone has limited ammo and the last one standing wins. That would be cool.

Honestly I think it would be co-op based. By watching the combat system from the E3 demo, I don't see that transitioning over to MP. It's too brutal and raw, it's visceral. There are no flashy Hollywood fight systems or over the top gun fights. You can grab and smash your enemies on anything and choke them and it's just all very disturbing emotionally.
I don't see how such a system would work against another player. But if it's something like an intense game of cat and mouse, that would be really good. With players scavenging for supplies and hunting each other down with limited resources, that would be something else.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I mean. And maybe there are the popcorn-head things on the map, too, so you have to be super careful. I would play the hell out of that, honestly. >.>[QUOTE="ShadowMoses900"][QUOTE="DarkLink77"] It would be such a missed opportunity. An infected one would be great, they could really hurt the players and actually force opponents to work together. Two guys are trying to kill each other and chasing one another through a building complex when all of a sudden an infected sees them.
That then becomes their main focus because that can easily kill both of them, so they are forced to stop fighting each other and team up against it. It sounds like a really intense MP if they do it right, which knowing Naughty Dog I know they will.
I dont know. When I read your post it feels like you have no emotion or fanboyisim put into it. Its like your posting just for the sake of it.:([QUOTE="MaskedPlayer"][QUOTE="Cheleman"]
Love the boxart.

mmhm.
maybe its just your avatar :/Am i the only one who prefered the previous box art featuring a greenish looking environment. I thought the idea behind this game is that mother nature is taking back what belongs to her and the scenery betrays the havok of what is actually happening

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. You could have a team mode of that, plus some other stuff. But if it's just standard deathmatch, I'mma be so disappointed.Nah, I liked the old box art better, too. I am not a fvcking troll. You better not be insinuating that I am a liar or a poser because if you are, then you and me are going to have a little problem on our hands.

Looking good. I'm going to preorder this. I like the bonuses, especially the soundtrack.
I'm still skeptical on the multiplayer though. I hope it's not just some deathmatch mode.
man, Naughty Dog, you know you got away with Uncharted Multiplayer, but seriously...why does this game need it?
Anyway, Lame Preorder if you ask me. Just get the Soundtrack one, only one worth it IMO.
Uncharted 2 pre 1.05 had the best multiplayer of all time.man, Naughty Dog, you know you got away with Uncharted Multiplayer, but seriously...why does this game need it?

I wasn't trying to say that Uncharted Multiplayer was bad, believe me, Uncharted 2's Beta Multiplayer was actually the sole reason why I even bought the game.

It was better after 1.05. It used to take like 15 shots to kill someone and made 2v1 encounters nearly impossible
Arne Meyer (Godly Dog developer) released this statement regarding the Multiplayer, saying:
"We have faith that our MP will stand on its own. If we felt like it would be tacked on, we wouldnt have added it. We want all our game experiences to be of the highest quality and thats what we work extremely hard to deliver. "
200 GOTY Awards and 150 Industry Awards incoming.

Which means "No it's not like uncharted's deathmatches" so I will give it a chance
I've only seen a few of your posts, and you look to be a terrible, terrible troll ;)[QUOTE="-Patrick_92-"][QUOTE="JameMcCabe"]
I've seen some footage and it looks like it will be a terrible, terrible game.

 You must lack control in real life.Oh, and the box? Umm... there it is, the box. I'm still amazed we dedicate threads to a box. What consumerists we are.
"MP has never taken away resources from the SP game in any of our games, always separate teams, separate resources. The folks working on the single player campaign always have the resources and support to complete that portion of the game to the vision they planned for." - Arne Meyer
"TLOU has been in preproduction and production for quite some time the SP portion of the game hasnt been skimped out on in any way." - Arne Meyer

That will never happen again. They got lucky with Uncharted 2's release year.
But in a year with Bioshock, Grand Theft Auto, and (allegedly) Destiny, among others? No.
But hey, it'll be nice to see another good year for big budget games again, since the last time that happened was 2010.
