The Last of us: worst Ai in gaming history?

Started playing this game recently, and i have to say the ai is probably the worst of any game i have ever played in history. This ai makes Crysis look like a AI masterpiece.

Do you guys agree, and if not list other games that you think are worse.

Crysis 1 had great AI (on PC at least), no clue what you're talking about. :|

And well, TLOU doesn't have the best AI, yes, but it still beats every other game when it comes to MC score :cool:

i can make a whole channel dedicated to how bad the ai in this game is. Its pretty terrible. One of the worst in gaming history IMO

Not by any stretch of the imagination.

the game is good and the ai is great imo. it wouldbe no fun if every damn step u take u get spotted, this was put intentionally in order for us to play the stealth route if we wanted.

Man people must be new to gaming. They act like AI is perfect.

None the less... The moron on there doesn't notice that the AI don't detect him is because he is crouched in stealth mode and as soon as he stands is detected.

Alot of games work like that. Nothing new.

After going through OP's youtube channel I can only conclude that he is a grade-A douchebag.

The game is decent nothing special. Beat it in 11 hours and is now collecting dust.

AI don't look that bad to me. It' apparent that it's based on sound detection, weather your standing or crouched or in light or dark.

Worse game ever for AI and glitches was/is Aliens Colonial Marines.

Plus you posted a video with a spoiler... GOOOD JOB.

Just shows how desperate these fanboys are.

I don't understand the criticism. The AI in this game is actually very good.
Of course your partners can't alert enemies on their own. If they could this game would be one long frustrating escort mission, and everyone would complain about that.

Ellie and the others are invisible to the enemies because otherwise this would be a long escort mission, so ignore that. Hoznary

Most people don't get that... I know I would be pissed off if my AI partner was causing me to die or be detected. Sure it might look silly. But it is what it is.

It does have some pretty bad AI. Soldiers running right past you, hiding beside you, yet not noticing you. etc. Although honestly I noticed the same kind of things in Uncharted 3, so it appears to me that the AI hasn't been improved much.

That being said it's not the worst AI in a game that I've seen, but it is pretty bad for a game that is supposedly a 10 out of 10 game.

Wasn't really a fan of the game. Stopped before 2 hours in but yea, AI definitely wasn't the best.

People that stopped playing after two hours or so are missing out on a fantastic game. Can't please everyone I guess...

I haven't gotten around to playing the game yet, but that video doesn't bother me.  It looks like stuff I've seen in plenty of other games.  Even games that are built specifically towards stealth have dumb scenarios like that.  I started Peace Walker HD recently and wow lol... hilariously stupid stuff happens, but its still fun.

Like I said, haven't played it yet, but I'm willing to guess that the AI is pretty decent or even good which only serves to amplify really crappy situations like that.

People that stopped playing after two hours or so are missing out on a fantastic game. Can't please everyone I guess...

Yet another contrarian. You just want to be against whatever is popular.

This always happens, something is popular and sells like gangbusters and everyone likes it. It doesnt take long before start nit picking and searching for any reason possible they can bitch about it because they want to hate what others like.

Considering its cool to rag on the ps4 now all of the sudden (no matter how utterly stupid the complaint is) the fact this game is a sony exclusive makes it a bigger target.

Ive put over 10 hours in this game I have no complaints at all about it. No glitches, no stupid AI or anything wrong for me. I am enjoying it and if people could stop worrying about trying to bash a brand name they might enjoy it also.
