Poll The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds vs Persona 4 Golden (64 votes)
According to System Wars, these are the best games on the 3DS and Vita respectively.
That's good and all, but... which one is better?

Persona 4 Golden is not only better than A Link Between Worlds, it is also the best game ever made.
This isn't a competition, it's a massacre.
I'd give it to ALBW because it isn't a port but P4 is too good. P4G.
I'd hesitate to call it a port. P4 feels like a beta release next to Golden.
@charizard1605: I wouldn't go that far. P4G has tons of extra content, but calling P4 a beta release sounds like hyperbole

I mean, P4G has not only the extra content, but it also smooths out the mechanics that were maddeningly frustrating and obtuse in P4 vanilla, from Persona fusions to save point spacing, to Shuffle Time, to battles and Social Links. Persona 4 vanilla had a very solid base, and it was a very good game, but it took Golden to elevate it to the classic that it has become today.
What did Golden add to the original aisde from Marie, ski event and some s.link? I missed out on it when it was for the PS2....

Essentially, we are looking at:
It so thoroughly makes the vanilla game obsolete, it's not even funny.

You forgot about greatly increased customization and rebalnance too. Each character got access to new skills, which made some previously useless party members useful. As for improved cutsomization, I am referring to both costumes and new skills ;)
Those two alone improve replay value.

I was thinking of covering that under 'Battle mechanics' and 'extra content,' but yeah, definitely, that's something to keep in mind as well.
Link Between Worlds. Nintendo understands open world game design. Link Between Worlds creates a vast illusion. It is one of the best games I've played in a long time--reminded me why I like videogames in the first place.
Well Im currently playing P4G right now. It makes me excited for Persona 5. I am enjoying it.
However the dungeons and fighting are the worse part. It gets so stale after awhile.
ALBW I never got tired of, ever. It was the best Zelda title in years.
I now feel that P4G is an overrated title BUT I still like it. It's definitely a solid 8/10 for me.

Thank you.
It's not that they are bad. They are beyond terrible. Terrible to the point I'm literally scared of the next time I'll have to enter the TV world to spend 2 hours crawling that damned maze to fight that damned boss!
I've gotta give it to Persona 4 Golden. Everything was fresh, exciting, I loved the characters and the story. the dungeons were the worst part of the game, but battles were fun and the dungeons didn't detract from the experience enough to annoy me.
Meanwhile, A Link Between Worlds was an amazingly polished game with great visuals and sharp gameplay. But the experience as a whole was lacking to me, and it consistently felt like a cheap retread rather than the successor to A Link to the Past it should have been. I prefer ALBW over ALttP. I do prefer ALBW over ALttP though.
Link Between Worlds takes a fat bitch (zelda) and leaned her the **** up.
Persona 4 Golden takes a fat bitch (Persona 4) and makers her fatter.
I'll roll with Zelda in this case, in spite of the fact that it takes one too many cues from Link to the Past to be its own thing.
P4G is just a port with additions. If your really going to compare games, OOT 3D would be a better choice considering its also an enhance port.
ALBW sucks. The purchase of P4G and a Vita is invalidated since the original Persona 4 is available on PSN now.
Which one is better? Even if it sucks, probably the game that's not just a port with some new content.
@TrappedInABox91: I just picked the games SW nominated as the best games for each of their respective systems.
Haven't played the The Golden (I've played Persona 4 on PS2), but I'd choose Persona 4 over Link Between Worlds, I mean it was good but it was more the short and sweet kind of good, but not like Persona 4's hours upon hours of excellence and replayability.
Then again, A Link Between Worlds is an original game, whereas The Golden was an enhanced port.
WTF Chaz?
Yes?
Well apparently everyone is joining your band wagon, but I don't find these games comparable at all.
You might as well Compare The Witcher to Bubble Bobble.
@LegatoSkyheart: Well, I first asked what each game on each system was considered to be. Once I had those anawers, I pit the winners against each other.
Don't see what's wrong with the comparison, really.
@charizard1605: yeah but now you're just asking which is a better game and that's just subjective.
The majority agree that A Link Between Worlds is a quality title for 3DS.
The Majority agree that Persona 4 is a quality title for Vita.
Now you're asking which is the better game? They're two different genres!
You might as well start arguing Hunnipop is the better game than Street Fighter because it has more Waifus.
Let's forget that A Link Between Worlds is a shorter game than P4G. Let's forget that the main hook of P4G is the visual novel aspect and not the actual gameplay. Let's just forget that these games are two different genres.
Honestly I like rpgs more so p4g personally. I also hate the bullcrap in Persona so I chose Zelda overall which does more stuff right.
I still get more excited for Zelda than rpgs in general though because they are unique and mechanically sound. The latest Zeldas could cater more to me, but are still excellent in their own right.
