The Most Aesthetically Appealing Console?

Which console do you feel had the best look in terms of style and design? This can include knock-offs like the PS4 Pro and Slim versions of consoles.

I would have to say I really like the Xbox One S. I think the white and black contrast looks amazing, and it just has a very clean look.

The OneS looks like a vcr lol The PS4 looks slightly better but the main consoles this gen have been ugly tbh. Too boxy, too vcr 1980s looking.

I gotta say, one of the positives of the Switch is that it looks slick, I know, most ppl will say it looks like a standard tablet but slide in the controllers and it looks pretty. Feels slick too.

You can't be serious! The 5200 looks like something you find at a junk yard.

The original Xbox. Yes it's big and heavy af but it looks cool. The controller looks great too. I bought it used just to play NG Black :)

I think NVidia's Shield TV is by far the most visually appealing console to date.

It counts as a console, right? Same form-factor - a little smaller than a PS4 actually.. Only difference is it runs Windows 10. It is compatible with all standard wireless controllers via bluetooth. It even uses an external power brick!

@harnessthepower: I am serious. Love it. I love that you could hide the controllers away inside it too. A console that was ahead of its time.

I liked the OG 360. Looked pretty dope on the entertainment stand.

My favorite this gen is the PS4 slim, and my all-time favorite is the Saturn model 1. I prefer the font, gloss, and oval buttons over the model 2 design.

PS1 and PS2 slim.

if we're talking about all time hmmm n64 just looked badass one of em.

Who could forget all the different color n64 consoles they made freaking clear, orange,green,blue,red w/e else lol.

i still like the original color the most but ya.

dreamcast was pretty sexy looking alsojust reminds me of 4 joystick controller arcade machines in a way and compact consoles sturdy looking.

My favorite in terms of looks is the Dreamcast. It has a very classy look to it while still looking like a fun video game console.

Side note: I don't understand why everybody that is saying PS2 is saying the PS2 Slim instead of the original. The Slim version looks much cheaper and doesn't have any of the style that the original has. Just look at them side-by-side in this picture; what do you guys see in the Slim version that makes you think it looks better than the original?

I really like the Xbox One design myself. I like the fact that it looks like most any other piece of regular tech that you put into the entertainment cabinet and hook up to the tv. I've kind of got over having my consoles have all these weird curves and angular designs as I think it tends to make them look kind of like a toy.

I like the Black One S so far by if handheld consoles were included, I really loved the VITA 1000 official render:

Scorpio.

The Scorpio looks better than anything ever made and it's games look better as well.

How are they knock-offs?

If handhelds count it would be the PS Vita. Otherwise I really liked the PS1. (the one with sharp corners)

I get why you did it, but it completely ruins the value of the black dreamcast.

i always liked the DSLite. that was one sleek looking handheld at the time. a finger print magnet granted but still very pretty.

out of the consoles i also like the wii. small, slick, flashing blue light on the front. when nintendo want to they can make some sleek looking hardware.

this gen my fav looking console would be the PS4 (original model). the slim also looks pretty good.

PS2 and the PS3 Slim and the Xbox One S. I can't choose one. Those 3 are sexy.

Big fan of the dreamcast design. Like the color and the small form factor. Nvidia shield is what I'd say for modern consoles. That thing is sleek and modern.

PSP 1000 - the very first release and not the cheaper-looking later versions.

The One S. I thought the original PS4 was cool, but the Pro and Slim look kinda bobbins IMO.

If we're talking overall, then the PS2 Slim/Gamecube/Vita would probably be my tops.
