Performance issues by far, to many publishers trying to squeeze out every bit of graphical detail that they can, even though the hardware, engine, and developer cant handle it.
I'd actually say the intro/splash is one of the most annoying things. I remember Jaffe was talking about how games would instantly load as soon as you started them and you could play instantly which is great and all, but in his OWN GAME Twsited Metal it takes a bit too long for you to actually get into the main menu thanks to the logos
Lack of mod support... and in Skyrim I don't like how the waterfalls freeze if you move far enough away from them, and how the grass is only visible for about 50/100 meters...
Well these are things I hate about: All games are capped at 30-60FPS Lack of anti-aliasing and AF. Most of them tend to run horribly....Even games that run at 60FPS have terrible dips. Upscaled resolution Closed platform(No mods, configs, FREEDOM, etc.) Online is garbage Most people play like idiots in MP games VOIP is used more for spamming, music, screaming, and just saying dumb random **** general. PSN and XBL are terrible services I could go on.......just don't feel like it.
Idk if they're as bad recently, but I found system updates a pain on my PS3. I also hate the Wii points system, there is always left over credit (apparently this is the same with 360).
Edit: Also using dual sticks to navigate from a first person perspective feels awkward as hell.
Nothing, console gaming is perfect. It is without a doubt the pinacle of what gaming should be. If you disagree it means you're stupid, ugly and not me.
forced experience. Everything (almost) is proprietary and you have no choice. PS3 gives you more choice than the others, but still consoles lack the freedom that makes PC gaming so wonderful. I dont want to pay for your overpriced harddrives on the 360. I don't want to pay to play online. I don't want to play FPS games with a controller. I don't want to use all your software that you make me use, with zero customization. The list just goes on and on.
omg, motorstorm apocalypse takes 5 minutes between launching the game and starting a race. I mean it literally. You'll be sitting there for FIVE MINUTES watching the game load boring intros!
The huge increase in motion controls. I guess a fear I have is all next gen will be motion control based, but that isn't an annoyance yet because it's not confirmed.
